FitnessGlo Giveaway

When I was in Atlanta for work last month my time was tight. It was basically go-go-go the whole time I was there with little downtime for working out, eating, or sleeping. The day we arrived I had a 45-minute window where I could squeeze something in at the cabin we were staying at. That was just enough time to open my computer and do a HIITS workout via FitnessGlo.

The 30-minute HIITS workout was just what I needed. It was a quick, high intensity interval workout video that combined strength, endurance, and cardio. After a day of being on a plane, then in the car, it was just what I needed to get the blood pumping again.

So what is FitnessGlo?


FitnessGlo was designed for busy women who need to sneak in a workout during a busy schedule. It’s a subscription site for online video fitness classes. The classes are shorter in duration and can be combined with other classes to create longer workouts. I was given a 90-day free trial via FitFluential and have been testing the workouts out here and there.

I really like the variety of videos available. There’s definitely something for everyone.

And whether you are a beginner or advanced, there’s a level of workout available for everyone too.

You can schedule workouts, save workouts, or there are even designated workout programs that takes all the guess work out and tells you what to do. (these are the programs I like, tell me what to do otherwise I’m going to just stare at the screen and stall).

There’s also a balance tracker that allows members to see if they are maintaining balance across strength, cardio and stretch each week – an important reminder to find balance vs. focusing only on cardio or only on strength (something we ALL struggle with). FitnessGlo’s entire goal is for women to find balance in their lives.

My favorite are the stretch classes. There’s nothing better than a good stretch, especially one where someone else is guiding you through it and telling you what to do.


I think FitnessGlo is a great site that’s perfect for busy moms or anyone constantly on the go. I’m looking forward to taking advantage of the classes when traveling as I know my time will be very limited when away. The teachers are enthusiastic (but not annoyingly so) and the classes are challenging, yet easy enough to do on the road.

I was a Zumba instructor before I became pregnant, so I will sometimes do 2-3 songs to get the blood pumping and stay active with my 2-year-old son.

My favorite way to squeeze fitness in when I’m super busy is with a 20-30 minute at-home workout. I save a lot of time by not driving to the gym, and I have just enough equipment at home to still make it a pretty great workout!

I am fine with my ~6 – 10 mile runs in the very early morning … but for my wife it is more of a challenge getting in workouts. Our elliptical machine died late last year and we haven’t been able to replace it yet, so she has been trying to use the Wii with the EA Sports Active program … this would be a great thing for her!

I have a baby so sometimes it’s hard to get my workout in. If I can’t get out for a run I will get down and do push-ups and sit-ups, etc while playing with my daughter. She thinks it is a game and I hope by her seeing me having fun with it that one day she will want to as well.

I love to run in the mornings, and then strength train in the afternoons. However, I travel a lot for work and have very little down time when I’m on the road. This would be perfect for me to help keep me on track when I’m away!

I usually do things like take the stairs at work, park farther away from doors, balance on one foot at a time or do squats while I wait for the microwave… whatever little things I can do! I try to do a few exercises on the BOSU, quick 2 mile jog or make my walk with my dog really count (walk quickly / walk the hilly section).

First off, I love the new look of Meals and Miles! You look beautiful in your picture at the top.

I have to get my workout in in the mornings if I have a busy day. For example today I hopped on the dreadmill (since it’s raining) first thing since I have a ton of work to squeeze in before I leave at 2pm for Disney World (rough life), but knew I wouldn’t work out at any other point unless I did it early. I’m intrigued by FitnessGlo since I live in the country and getting to a gym/studio just isn’t in the cards due to my commute. And I’m tired of the same 6 yoga/barre videos I’ve been watching for the past 4 years! Thanks for hosting the giveaway. πŸ™‚

Go for a run outside! There is no travel time to and from a gym and even fifteen or twenty minutes is a great workout.

It never fails that things will come up in the afternoons and evenings, so I get up in the early morning to either run a few miles, swim, or do an Insanity workout.

I try to get up early on days that I know I won’t have any time to get a workout in later. Or if can’t do that I try for a quick strengh/toning session whenever I have a few down minutes – pushups and situps are great for just that and can be done virtually anywhere!

My favorite way to fit in exercise on a busy day is to get up a little bit earlier and just do it first thing in the morning, even if it’s only a quick 15 minute session of core work, push-ups and stretches. I immediately feel accomplished and it keeps me energized all day! No extra stressing about when I’ll be able to squeeze it in later.

My favorite way to squeeze in a quick workout is my 2 mile loop in the morning at 5:15 am. I have a long commute so by the end of the day I am done for. I have to get it in before the work day starts. I would love to be able to have some videos to do on rainy days or when I need to get a good stretch in.

I think the easiest way is through doing some moves while watching tv or popping in a dvd, like Jillian Michaels! Super short workouts but they make an impact.

I like to workout first thing in the morning so I make sure it gets in, and life doesn’t get in the way. It’s too easy for me to make excuses later in the day.

I love doing quick HIIT workouts when I get home and short on time. It’s a lot easier to get myself motivated if I remind myself that it just takes 20 minutes and I’m good to go! I have heard so much about FitnessGlo recently, that I’m really intrigued by it! Sounds like a great resource!

Waking up 30 minutes earlier and going for a quick run works best for me – if I don’t do it first thing, I’ll just keep making excuses, and exercising in the morning always makes me feel better about my day!

There’s a path behind my office that’s 1/2 a mile…I try to walk it 4 times a day when I’m in the office. The rest of the time – I’m running through airports for work travel…also effective. Would be great to have a subscription to this – I often find it hard to make time for workouts in my hotel rooms & some of the hotel gyms can be pretty bad.

On a SUPER busy day I’ll just up the intensity of my commute (whether it’s walking or riding) to make it feel like more of a workout. For a just slightly busy day (when I have less than an hour to squeeze something in) my go to is Jillian Michael’s 30 Day Shred- 22 minutes workouts that really get your heart going and you can find them on YouTube!

I definitely have to squeeze in my workouts – I work 10 hour days on 3rd shift, with an hour commute each way! So, I’m not good about going to a gym & definitely like to work out at home. I usually hop on the elliptical as soon as I get up in the afternoon before I make dinner, but this would be great to try out because I’m not getting any strength training in.

I like to get my workout in when I get up! (but its not always possible) so if I’m having a busy day I try to get a walk in after dinner, its not perfect, but at least helps me do something healthy after a meal!

I work in Manhattan and the easiest way for me to sneak in some extra activity is to walk to Penn Station from my office building, which is a 15 minute walk. And to always walk up the stairs at the station.

I’ll stretch and do yoga poses while watching TV. That way I have a bit of relax time AND I still get to move. I also always park my car as far away as possible- that gives me a bit of walking each day.

On days when I’m pressed for time & the kids & I can’t go to our gym, I love to send my kids outside where I can keep an eye on them while I get in a quick run around my hilly neighborhood. Even if I just get in a quick 20 minute run, I feel so much more recharged afterward, & the kids feel better too :).

I try to workout during nap time but if that doesn’t happen I use my one year old as a weight (22lbs) and do chest presses and bridges with him. He thinks it is play time. I also do plank while he jumps on my back.

Getting up before your alarm would normally go off even if its 15-20 min to get in some exercise is worth the boost of energy throughout the day and the knowledge that you at least got some fitness in if your original afternoon workout does not pan out due to family or work obligations.

I’m not great with squeezing in workouts – which is why I think this site would be so helpful! – but the one thing I do often is stretch in the evenings before going to bed. It’s nice to loosen up a bit after a long day.

If I have a super busy day planned I try to break up by workout into 10 minute segments. 10 as soon as I wake up, 10 on my lunch break, and 10 while dinner cooks.

I think the best way to squeeze something in during a packed work day is realizing your lunch break is your own and getting outside for that time will make the rest of your day more productive than working through lunch would have. (Granted, easier said than done!)

I try to get out for a walk on my lunchbreak whenever possible. On days when I’ve worked out in the AM, it’s a great way to shake out my legs. On days when I missed my workout, it adds a little something so all is not lost!

I’m a runner first and foremost — but I’ve been trying to balance and squeeze in cross training where I can. Specifically tara stiles yoga and love my 8 min ab/buns/arms routines. sounds like fitnessglo would be perfect for my at home cross training!

When I’m traveling and am stressed with little time to work out I just get out of the hotel and run. I’ve run on the Vegas strip, thru downtown Chicago, along the Hudson – where ever is available that is safe. No weights or equipment required! (=

I have a few pilates dvds that are broken up into 10-minute segments. When I only have a very little amount of time, one or two of the 10-minute workouts is usually my favorite way to go.

I just do short workouts when pressed for time~ HIIT/Tabata style are my fav’s. I write the routines in a notebook and if I go somewhere there is no internet, I always have something. There’s nothing like a workout at the playground while the kids play! No excuses.

Usually I just get up early, but if time is crunched I’ll focus on speed and run to get the most I can in the allotted time. Multitasking helps too….pushups and during rest stretch!

We only have a half hour for lunch, but a gym in our basement at work. I usually try to do a walk on the treadmill and a small 15 workout

When I know my day is going to be busy, I make sure I wake up half an hour early and do a three mile run through my neighborhood. Running provides me with stress relief, and I feel ready to conquer my long list of to-do items for the day!

I try to get my fitness in first thing in the morning, or else I’ll just be lazy! If I don’t workout, then I’ll dance around the house to get the heart rate up. πŸ™‚

Hmm this is probably something I should work on, but I usually schedule rest days if I know a day will be very busy. Always try to walk the long way around or get up from my desk often though!

I enjoy taking a quick 15 minute walk/jog. Its nice to take a quick break and get moving, especially since I’m sitting at a desk most the day.

My favorite way to sneak in fitness on a busy day is to get up from my office chair once an hour to at least do something on my feet. it could be running files to another floor or walking to the community printer, any sort of movement is beneficial!

If I don’t exercise before work, I’m not going to exercise after. So I wake up early if I need to. Otherwise I come home so exhausted from my day that even the thought of lifting a weight sounds horrendous.

My favorite way to squeeze in travel is to stretch at work for 15 minutes! If I am at my home location I lead my co-workers during this time or if I am away I try to find an unused conference room to stretch! I also use some exercises from NROLW as a backup when in a pinch.

I travel a ton for work and have been interested in trying something like this out. It would definitely take the hassle out of small hotel workout rooms or finding a gym close by for a week long pass!

Waking up early is a must! I love getting out of the house while everyone is (hopefully) still sleeping. Then, I get home while my boys and husband are eating breakfast, and I already feel like I’ve accomplished something for the day!

I wake up with the birds! @ 4am … Get everything together (what feels like my entire life to shower & change into a what looks like a human being), head to the gym for a grueling 2-3hr workout, and head to work (as a surgical Physician Assistant). I come home when it’s dark out, cook healthy meals for the family (yes, my parents and brother included!) and bake (some not so healthy, but delicious treats) for my company I recently started. Go to bed wayyyy too late and start all over again. Gotta love it! Working out at the crack of dawn…such a rush! I already feel accomplished by 8am…except those days when I have to be scrubbed into the O.R. @ 6am.

My favorite way of squeezing in physical activity/exercise is a quick high intensity workout such as HIIT or Tabata. They are totally awesome ways of getting a full-on fat burning workout which only takes around 15 to 30 minutes! πŸ™‚ Happy sweating y’all πŸ™‚

I love to squeeze walking into my day where ever possible-if I have to return a movie, I’ll walk. I walk on my lunch break at work, I walk in the morning to get my blood pumping, etc. walking is free and easy to fit in.
