Ahhhh!!! Alright, who watched last night’s series finale of Gossip Girl? What did you think?


Here are my thoughts:

I liked the Chuck and Blair ending, but was hoping for a little more dramatics with the reveal of Gossip Girl. I’m almost tempted to go back and re-watch the series just to see if they really left “clues behind” on who Gossip Girl was or they just decided this season to name that person as Gossip Girl and made a story up to make it believable. I’m still not sure I really believe the story behind it. Also, the 5 years in the future bit? You can tell the same creators behind Gossip GIrl were the same as The OC because that was the exact same ending that show used too. Sigh.


I’m a little sad the show is over, but it was definitely time to go. RIP Gossip Girl, may you forever live on in syndication on the Soap Network. XOXO

My Tuesday started with a run.

As I was leaving CrossFit yesterday morning, I told my coach I’d see her Wednesday. She looked at me and said, “you know we’re open on Tuesdays too.” I know, I know, but Tuesdays and Thursday are my run days and I won’t be giving those up anytime soon.

It felt good to run. I left my watch at home and just ran. I covered my usual 4 mile loop and had a nice stretch afterwards. One of my goals for the coming year is to be a better stretcher, I figured it wouldn’t hurt to start on that one early.

Breakfast was two scrambled eggs with spinach and goat cheese, a ripe pear, and two pieces of turkey fried up in the pan.


The morning flew by. I’m working on pre-writing some posts to go up while I’m on my honeymoon in January (hope you’re ready for some fun giveaways!), which took up the majority of my day.

Lunch was another snack plate (can’t go wrong with a snack plate!).


Bacon, carrots, and almond butter.


I was really close to making a bacon, carrot, and almond butter sandwich, but we didn’t have any bread. Instead I just paired the bacon with the carrot and dipped them in the almond butter as a unit. Sooooo good.

The other half of the plate had cheese, cucumber, and a pickle.


Two Peanut Apple Pretzel Drops were enjoyed as a mid-afternoon snack.


We have Mr. Crock Pot to thank for dinner.


I followed this super easy recipe for Crock Pot Chicken Taco Chili. I threw everything in the crock pot after lunch (a process that took 5 minutes tops) and served it for dinner around seven. The crock pot made the whole house smell absolutely delicious.


I added some plain Chobani and grated cheese to my bowl.The chili tasted like the inside of a burrito, not a bad thing, I just wish I had a tortilla to go with it. ๐Ÿ˜‰


The good news is we have leftovers to last a while, a fact I’m not complaining about! ๐Ÿ˜‰

In other news, my rehearsal dress arrived today!


They didn’t have my size in store, so I had to order it and have it shipped to my house (the dress is from Nordstrom). I tried it on as soon as it arrived and fell in love with it! Can’t wait to wear it in 2.5 weeks!
