I’ve gotta make this quick! Almost time to hit the road for Orlando (I’m starting to sound like a broken record saying that! 😉 ) – It’s Britney, Bitch!
Lunch was simple and fabulous.
I made a chickpea salad by tossing a can of chickpeas with tomatoes, raisins, olives, and roasted red peppers and letting it marinade for a little bit in a evoo, vinegar, and lemon juice dressing. The chick pea salad was then layered on top of a slice of cheese, spinach, and a wrap.
Grapes were served on the side as a thirst quencher.
Britney! Britney! Britney!
I have the world’s worst taste in music.
Actually, I have no taste in music. I really just listen to what ever the radio tells me to listen to and I’m pretty content with that. I prefer music from female singers that I can easily sing along to (if they hit multiple high notes I can’t reach or sing way too high soprano then I’m usually not a fan), is easy to dance to, and is relatively catchy.
I think all of that is why I love Britney Spears.
(I was totally Britney’s version of a school girl for Halloween in 8th grade)
When Britney first came out with Hit Me Baby One More Time in 7th grade – I was obsessed. I was 13 at the time and smack dab in the middle of the teeny bopper market she was aiming for. I purchased the cd, memorized all the words, and I’m pretty sure there’s some embarrassing videos out there somewhere with me belting out a song or two into my hairbrush microphone. (I’ve already burnt the photos.)
I’ve followed Britney pretty consistently through the ups and downs of her career and have stayed a loyal fan since day 1. Yes, she’s had her crazy moments, but if I had photographers following me around every minute of my life, I would go a little crazy too.
Her songs are still catchy, I can still dance along, and – have you seen her lately? – girl is lookin’ fine!
I can not wait to live out my 13 year old fantasies by seeing Britney for the first time in concert tonight. I don’t even care if she sings live – I’m just there for the show anyways! I would rather have her voice be recorded – and sound good – then be live and horrible. (I told you I have no taste in music!)
Cross your fingers there are no emergency phone calls on the drive over tonight. We all remember what happened last time…
If you were living out your inner 13 year old fantasies – which concert would you go to?
I would say Hanson, but I really did get to see them in concert when I was 13!
