Might as well live it up while you can, right?
Today was a crazy day.
Starting with another drive over to Orlando.
Yes, another drive to Orlando.
Why did I move away from there again? Oh, right. I fell in love with a boy who didn’t live there. He must be a keeper. ๐
Anyways, I’ve been eating out a lot lately. A .LOT. My goal this week – and next – is to limit that when I can. (Granted, I already have two nights planned this week with eating food out, but those are more like events and the food is included, so they don’t count.)
My new goal meant eating lunch at home before I hit the road.
A cinnamon raisin bagel thin topped with two fried eggs and jam.
With carrots and almond butter on the side.
All fueled up and ready to go!
My first stop after the 1.5 hour drive was the Downtown Credo Coffee House in College Park.
The Downtown Credo is a non-profit coffee shop that runs completely on donations and the help of volunteers. There are no set prices or menu, people pay what they can give and the local baked goods change daily.
It’s a very welcoming space for local work-at-homers and serves a great cup of coffee.
Or in my case – ice coffee. With soy milk.
Strong and slightly sweet. Just the way I like it.
I had a great meeting with the race director for the upcoming Savage Race (love how they refer to themselves as ‘the race meant to kick your ass’). Got lots of insight and have lots of plans. Stay tuned for exciting details! ๐
I left Credo in the rain and had to drive across town for my next destination.
Had a granola bar on the way.
My next stop was the B Meyer Training Center for my first ever TRX class.
I was taking the class as part of an upcoming episode of Meals and Miles on iZonOrlando.com. I don’t want to give too much away, but it was TOUGH. A lot of core. A lot of upper body. A lot of core. I’m going to be sore in the morning!
The owner of the training center gave me a Drink Chia! drink to try during the class.
Drink Chia! is a local company that is literally next door to the training center. I thought the Strawberry Citrus flavored drink was pretty tasty, but was a little weirded out when I got to the bottom and was drinking straight chia seeds. It was strange – the chia seeds were still somewhat whole and hadn’t gelled, like they usually do when they’re immersed in water. I wonder why that was? hmmm….
We wrapped up filming a little before 8:00pm and I started my journey back to Tampa.
With a pit stop for dinner along the way.
Yes, I packed my dinner – I told you I’m trying to save money!
It was nothing special, just a salad with leftover veggies from last night’s dinner and chickpeas
And a cinnamon raisin bagel thin.
My reward for making it home from Orlando in one piece? Ice Cream.
It’s been a long day. A long, but productive day.
Maddie and Derek are calling my name from the couch. About to go join them.
Good night!
