I did something amazing this evening. I shut my computer off and did housework. I know. Unbelievable. π
Ever since I returned from NYC on Monday I feel like the laptop has practically been attached to my finger tips. I’ve been go-go-go with work and exercise, but the state of my apartment has stayed in the past. Clothes were still scattered across the living room, dishes still needed to be washed, and Maddie still smelled. Clearly something needed to be done.
My landlord began advertising my apartment on Craigslist last week. Tomorrow he’ll be bringing a couple of different prospects by to tour my place. Looks like that inspiration to clean came just in the nick of time!
I’m still nervous about ‘showing’ the apartment tomorrow. I know they’re just judging the apartment, but secretly I’m nervous they’ll be judging my stuff in my apartment. eekkk!!
Oh, and if you’re looking to rent a beautiful 1 bedroom apartment on the Northside of Orlando for a decent price shoot me an e-mail at mealsandmiles@gmail.com My landlords are amazing people and deserve an amazing tenant to take over! π
My choices for dinner were slim.
Ok, that was a lie. I had choices, per se, but what I was really craving was one of my delicious ‘spiced up’ frozen pizzas.
It was all that was on my mind. Pizza with egg on top is addicting and so, so good!
Today’s frozen pizza of choice was of the Kashi variety.
I had half of the thin pizza (1/3 serving.. what 1/3 serving?) for dinner with a side of roasted purple potatoes.
Look how pretty that egg is. Nothing like a good shot of protein to make any meal extra special.
The purple potatoes were starting to go bad. It was either dinner tonight or the trash can for these royal spuds.
I indulged my sweet tooth after dinner with a Chocolate Vitatop and sliced strawberries.
A cleaner’s work is never complete. Let’s see… to scrub the bathtub or not? That is the question.
Good night!
What do you do with the egg? Just put it on top and then bake the pizza as usual?

I only buy them when they are BOGO at Publix π
Transfer some of that cleaning energy to me please π

Good luck with the cleaning! I get that inspiration very rarely, but when I do there’s no stopping me!
Love the purple potatoes! Mmmm! And I say you should pass on the tub scrub. π

Ha, I have been considering paying one of my residents to clean my apartment. I don’t know how it’s so hard for me to keep 400 sq feet clean!

haha I’ve paid my sister to clean my apartment before π
Make everything look “okay” for the potential renters and then deep clean as you leave so you can make sure to get your deposit back (if that’s an issue).
You and that egg pizza! I have to try that soon!
I haven’t been in a pizza mood lately, so I haven’t tried the egg pizza yet. However, I have a Kashi Mediterranean in my freezer waiting for when the mood strikes. I think it may have the perfect toppings for an eggy addition!
House chores does take a bulk of my time as well. Such annoyance π

What a great idea! Such an easy way to add your own (protein-packed) twist to frozen pizza.

I have to start packing and cleaning too! My husband and I are out at the end of the month. And he’s gone so I’m packing by myself.
I have a frozen pizza from TJ’s that I can’t wait to dive into. π

I love Kashi Pizzas!!! Have you tried any other of their pizzas? My favorite is the vegetable one (Garden Veggie, or something — has Artichokes in it). π

I have, but the lack of toppings always depress me. That’s why I buy them when they’re super on sale (with coupons!) and add my own toppings π
When I first saw that eggy pizza idea, I thought it looked nasty but now I think I am going to give it a try for sure.

Here’s how to tackle the tub: think of it as cardio/strength training that you don’t want to do. Turn up your music loud, jam out, and you’ll be done in no time! You’ll feel better AND have gotten a little sweat sesh in π
That pizza looks amazing! I’ve been wanting to try the Kashi pizzas and pizza with an egg on top. Looks like I might have dinner this weekend!
I’m still so interested in the egg on the pizza. I’ve done a breakfast pizza before, but used scrambled eggs. I’m not sure I could get into a runny egg on a pizza but I’d be willing to give it a try.
Good luck with the apartment!!

The yolk isn’t runny! It cooks the yolk. π Trust me, I hate runny yolk, the cooked yolk is the only way I can stand it.
Please motivate me to clean this place!

Ugh, scrubbing the bathtub is one of my most hated tasks. I usually sprinkle Comet in there (as wetting it down), let it marinate, and then rinse π

A few years ago my family went to Turkey and they had eggs on their pizza…which they call Pide. It was AHHMMAAZING. I knew they were onto something but never brought it back to the States! I think its about time….
Kashi pizzas are so good! I’ve never had an egg on a pizza before. I’m curious to see what it would taste like. It looks good! Good luck cleaning. I absolutely despise cleaning. I need to clean my place as well.

I make pizzas with scrambled eggs all the time! and it doubles as a breakfast the next morning; this is done when I am making my own; never put scrambled eggs on a ready to eat/frozen :O)
Will DEFINITELY be doing this little experiment tomorrow night (as I make pizza at home typically every Fri!)
