Snack, Snack

by Meghann on January 31, 2011

My smoothie this morning left me feeling snacky. Less than two hours after I consumed it, I found myself standing in front of the fridge debating lunch. Being as it was only 10:30, I held off and grabbed a carrot instead.

As well as a handful of Pretzel Goldfish. And Cereal. :/

I think smoothies need more protein for more staying powder. Next time I’m adding greek yogurt and doubling up on the nut butter instead of peanut flour. πŸ˜‰

Guess who came home this morning?

Maddie had a wonderful 3 night stay at the doggie hotel and returned a tired, worn out pup. Mission accomplished. πŸ˜‰

When lunch time finally did come around I dug into some leftovers.

My fridge is in need of some restocking and leftovers are meant to be enjoyed three – four days after their initial conception anyways. πŸ˜‰

My last 1/3 of my ‘spiced up frozen pizza

And some of my ‘unnamed tomatoes and beans mix.’

I would love to go back some day, but I think I would rather see places I’ve never seen before first. Maybe France, London, Greece, Germany…? Derek and I are hoping to travel to Europe next Fall, but I’m trying not to put too much excitement into that trip until it’s 100% guaranteed. πŸ™‚

I usually make my smoothies with 0% Fage Greek yogurt as the base. It adds protein for some staying power and leaves me feeling satisfied.

My boyfriend and I both travelled abroad in 2007, and we took a 2-month trip through Europe together after we finished our semesters. We visited Italy–Bologna, Venice, Cinque Terre, and Lake Como–and Amsterdam, Scotland, Spain, and France. It was a fabulous trip, and I highly recommend Cinque Terre in Italy for beautiful hiking, amazing views, and delicious food. Where are you planning to go?

I would LOVE to go to Italy! My Aunt and Uncle spent a week at a private house/winery this summer and I watched their kiddies, which means I have beautiful Italian goodies! Olive oil from the town they stayed in and a one of a kind, hand painted olive oil bottle=) I’ve been to Germany, France, and the Netherlands and they were all unique and interesting! The best was the hiking a river gorge in the German Alps, the worst was having a breakdown due to ‘no-personal space’ european travelers under the Eiffel tower.
