Back in the swing of things

by Meghann on November 29, 2010

It’s Monday! This means the long weekend is officially over. Sad face. 🙁

In case you missed it – here are some of this highlights from my Holiday weekend:

How was your Thanksgiving weekend? Any crazy family drama? Score any good shopping deals? Run any big races? Do share!

It felt good to sleep in my own bed last night and when my alarm went off at 5:30 I almost forgot why it was going off and where I had to be. Oh yeah…back to the normal routine.

I knocked out 3 easy miles this morning. My legs felt strong and rested – the benefits of tapering are sinking in. 😉

After my run and shower I made a bowl of pumpkin oats for breakfast.

  • 1/3 cup Rolled Oats
  • 1/3 cup Almond Milk
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • Pinch of Chia Seeds
  • Pinch of Salt
  • Pumpkin Spice
  • 2 T Pumpkin
  • Raisins

  • Granola
  • Hot Apple
  • Dark Chocolate Dreams Peanut Butter
  • Cinnamon

I’ve had strange cravings for oatmeal all weekend. It was very satisfying to finally sink my teeth in to a bit delicious bowl. 🙂

Cyber Monday

It’s Cyber Monday!! Has anyone found any good deals? The best I’ve seen has been free shipping at a lot of places. Free shipping doesn’t excite me as much as 50% off, but that’s just me.

I haven’t seen any “KRAZZEE GOOD” Cyber Monday sales, but I do know someone who stood in line at Target all night Thanksgiving night to snag a fantastic deal on a great big TV.

Holiday shopping fascinates me!!

My mom keeps telling me that you shouldn’t buy anything online this holiday season that doesn’t include free shipping…so the fact that Cyber Monday deals are touting that as their bargain doesn’t excite me either!

I don’t buy anything unless free shipping in involved. I like discounts, baby!!

10 Heather November 29, 2010 at 12:16 pm

I love free shipping but I agree – I would rather have a sale instead. Shipping is typically less than the discount from a sale.

No cyber monday shopping for me!

I’ve been in clases all day so I haven’t been able to even think about Cyber Monday!

I was at home until Friday for the holidays. I ran a 10K Turkey Trot, which aggraviated both of my IT bands again. :/ Now I’m taking a week off of running when I would much rather be training for my race!

My family and I dressed up and did the local Turkey Trot 5K Thanksgiving morning and had a great time!

The Wal-Mart deal you tweeted yesterday definitely caught my attention! $99 for a Garmin Forerunner is quite a deal! Thanks for sharing because I ended up ordering it as an early Christmas gift for myself I cannot wait to use it! 😀
I am still looking for other deals online, so we will see what I find!
