It’s Game Time

by Meghann on September 11, 2010

Football season is backed! Woo hoo!!!

Nothing screams the start of fall more than the kick off of Football Season.

Also, nothing makes me miss college more than seeing all the fans in the stand.

It takes me back….

I miss it!

Looking back I’m glad I went to a big football school. I couldn’t imagine college any other way. πŸ™‚

Derek and I have plans to try and get at least one trip up to Tallahassee this year for a game. Here’s crossing our fingers that plan comes true! πŸ™‚

it’s been nothing, but college football in this apartment all day. First USF V UF and now FSU and OU.

What goes better with college football than a big bowl of nachos for lunch?

These were actually at Derek’s request. The boy loves his Nachos!

But not as much as he loves his Noles.

We started with a baking sheet of Tortillas

Then covered them with black beans, red onions, jalapenos, olives, mushrooms, and lots of cheese.

Baked at 400 for 5 minutes or until cheeses is melted.

And topped with our toppings of choice

I finished mine off with some avocado, salsa, tomato, and plain yogurt.

I think the melted cheese is really the key to good nachos. These were amazing. πŸ™‚

I had a couple of Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies for dessert, but somehow my camera ate the photo?!?

TIme to get back to the game!

Looks like someone is really getting into it.

Apparently Nachos = nap time? πŸ™‚

Who are you rooting for today?!?!

This is the time of year I become a football widow – my husbands Sundays start with football at 9:00 in the morning and then doesn’t stop until 11:00 p.m.!

Our first football food of the season tomorrow? Homemade steak taquitos and quacamole with bacon, blue cheese and sage!

Nachos are amazing! I’ve had some last night actually. I wish I could say that I am a big college football fan, but I went to a small liberal arts college in MN (with a crappy football team) πŸ™‚

Looks like Seminole games are a blast! I graduated from Penn State, and football was life on the weekends. Glad to see someone else takes pride in their school’s football and food culture. Any good places to dine at around FSU?

25 Michelle September 11, 2010 at 10:39 pm
