Good post- esepcially the last bit! EVERYONE is entitled to their opinions,a nd the right to express them freely without being criticised.

Yep, everyone is entitled to their opinion. Too bad more people do not realize that. Bottom line, we all have choices and I choose to read your blog!!! Thank you.

Love the last part, so true! Not everyone has to agree on everything that is said or talked about.

I can’t stand when people bash the bloggers in the comment section. If you have a concern or something you disagree with you can always display it in a respectful and intelligent manner.

Your tweet this morning made me smile. I know I relate!

I do the same thing with my email AND blog reading. I need to nix that habit!

I keep telling myself the SAME thing- no computer in the morning because it eats up so much time! I’m habitually late because of it! The lure is too strong though. I just want to quickly check everything online!

I think it’s worse since I got my phone too. Because now I’m checking my e-mail constantly and am a little obsessive with it.

Meghann, thank you for owning your opinion!! I’m not going to reopen the can of worms (well, no more than to say that you had every right to post a review of a product that came in a swag bag)–but this is your blog, these are your opinions, and you have the right to post what you think you should. You didn’t err in posting a review of a product–you did what blogs were made for.

Wow! After reading your post this morning, I went back and read the comments that you received last night. I’m sorry – it’s no fun waking up to the sensitivity police judging you and giving their “two-cents.”

I really didn’t think twice when I read your review about the glow bar last night. I have been reading your blog for the past year, and I feel that your review last night is “par for the course” on this blog. I don’t know you personally, but it seemed in-step with your personality as expressed through this blog. In your posts, you express your opinions about products, restaurants, etc… Your review was not harsh at all. As the Front Burner said “lesson learned” – geez!

I hope that you have a better day today 🙂

LOL, I have to say, the editor in me does cringe at some typos! 😉 Although I am absolutely just as guilty, especially lately as I have a new keyboard at work. The keys are barely raised! How am I supposed to clack-clack-clack away on it?!??

How is Maddie doing after her debacle last night? Bowser goes in for his annual next month, and while he’s never had a reaction before, something like that is my worst nightmare. Especially since we’ve moved and this will be his first visit with a new vet. 🙁

Maddie is doing great. 100% back to her old self. All the swelling is gone and she has stopped scratching at it.

Great point Meghann, you ARE human! We all make mistakes and it’s important that we grow and learn from them. It makes perfect sense to review a product honestly and to leave all bias aside. I think it’s great that you made a point to let your readers now that you like the other bars. Maybe that particular flavor of bar just wasn’t for you. And that’s okay!

Checking e-mails in the morning before work is dangerous! haha

    Blog drama, oh my! 😛

Just like there’s a human behind every small business [and in some cases, large ones too. ;)], there’s a person behind each blog too.

    Keep on writing!

Oh no! Apparently you fall in the statistic: 33% of women ages 18-34, the first thing they do in the morning is check facebook 🙂

It just shows how much we are tied to our gadets!

I enjoy your blog errots (ehem) and all– keep up the great work.

My phone alarm wakes me up so I have to grab it to turn it off. Then, I check my email on my phone and 23 minutes later I realize I am late. This is a big problem when it stalls my run and the heat just gets worse as the minutes tick by.

If I had to be perfect on the blog I would have quit 2 years ago. I always tell myself, “We’re just here to have fun. We’re just here to have fun…”

That’s how I am when I hop into bed at night with my phone. before I know I’ve been in bed 30 minutes and my google reader is cut in half.

Oh dear… I can’t think of a recent post that would have been politically incorrect…? The typos, we all do that. Lately I’m guilty of doing the thing I hate the most, their-they’re-there. Gah!

But seriously, who gets their panties in a twist over typos??? I know I’ve mentioned one or two that made me laugh, but that’s all part of the fun of blogging right? I’ll stop though, I can see how it would get old.

Your blog is one of only about 4 that I have the web address memorized and read daily 🙂 Love it! That is all.

I am really glad you are honest, it wasn’t personal to Angela ‘the blogger’ it was constructive feedback to ‘the bakery’. The fact that you are honest and real and don’t just suck-up because of Angela’s ‘place’, so to speak, in the blogging world is why I love hanging out with you through your blog and why I want to comment and discuss…I know I won’t just get lost into numbers.

Sometimes I think everyone forgets that this is a BLOG and you can say whatever you want!! That being said, it is also interesting how sometimes comments can make us really think about what we say and the meaning behind it.

You seem like such a sweet person and I’m sure everyone can agree that you wouldn’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings!

I think what you said in THIS post proves just how awesome you are. 🙂

Love it! I would rather you be honest than falsely sugar coat everything. And you are 100% entitled to have your own opinion about everything. Also, you’re never ever going to please every single person all the time. I’m glad you said what you thought. Thank you for being real. You aren’t going to love everything and I appreciate you saying that.

I missed that whole kafluffle and had to go back and see what was going on. But don’t worry- I still think you are a wonderful and kind person!
I think we all have moments where we say something that may be true and totally honest, but maybe not totally tactful, or thought out. In real life, I’ve done it lots. You apologize, and go on. 99% of the time, the other person isn’t even insulted, or if they are, they realize you meant no harm. This is a blog, and more people read it, so it is more embarassing and garners more attention, but I think it is exactly what you said in your post. You’re human. You make mistakes. You were just being honest, and it is kind of a complicated situation, with no clear right or wrong. What is important is that you acknowledged the situation, and how it could effect other people, and addressed it. I don’t think it makes you rude, or unprofessional (in so far as a blog is professional). It just makes you human.

Well stated! I’m sure Angela wasn’t in the least offended. There’s nothing wrong with honest review, I just don’t understand why she pitted one bar against another instead of reviewing them separately. But that in the end is Meghann’s choice, this is her blog and if she were to try to please every single reader, frustration would abound. Besides, feedback and constructive criticism can help any of that put a good or service out there, to improve!

I can’t seem to get healthy. I used to be incredibly healthy and an avid runner and after a bad break up I just sort of slowly let it slip to now where I do nothing active and am a fast food frequenter…the old me would be shocked! I went 2 x a year! Your blog helps me at least see what I SHOULD be doing, any advice on how to get the courage and motivation to actually “begin?”
