Comfort Food

by Meghann on August 9, 2010

Now, this is what I call a lazy girl’s dinner.

Honey Roasted Cinnamon Peanut Butter & Peach Quesadilla

With Pickles (Don’t judge – the pickles surprisingly went well with the sweet quesadilla.

Yes, I could have made this expertly prepared elaborate meal featuring the entire contents of my fridge. But, this was what I was craving so I went with it. ๐Ÿ˜‰

There is just something about the combination of warm nut butter and fruit that is so comforting to me. ๐Ÿ™‚

Don’t worry – I got my veggies in this afternoon.

And my calcium for dessert. ๐Ÿ˜‰

What? You don’t count ice cream as you calcium intake for the day? Pshhh….

I just plugged my Flip Camera into my computer for the first time in months! I have my work cut out with me with the back log of videos I need to edit. Maybe I’ll save that project for the plane ride to Chicago on Thursday? ๐Ÿ˜‰

I’m thinking it’s a good thing Southwest flights doesn’t have WiFi on their flight. Being unplugged will give me a chance to get some much needed work done offline. Sometimes the draw of twitter, e-mail, and google reader can be a wee bit distracting.

For instance while writing this entry I have been simutameously tweeting, g-chatting with Derek, reading e-mails, and watching tv. It’s a big wonder I ever get anything done!

And now my head hurts.

I’m going to bed.

Good Night!

ha I am the hugest multi-tasker…especially while blogging. Gchat, FB chat, listening to itunes, and TV in the background…its sad.

Happy Monday!!!

5 Matt August 9, 2010 at 9:41 pm

I am the same way with the internet! I have to unplug my router when I want to get homework done ๐Ÿ˜‰

6 Leah August 9, 2010 at 9:46 pm

I NEED to unplug every once in awhile. Otherwise I feel like a slave to the internet!

7 Derek August 9, 2010 at 9:49 pm

Lazy cooking is my style. If it takes me longer to cook than to eat it must be a special occasion. Thanks for the easy idea.

I do believe I will be replicating your dinner as my breakfast. Mmmm! Especially with a pickle…

I totally unplugged this weekend and it felt so relaxing! Your flight will help you re-charge on the technology front.

I’ve definitely counted ice cream as one of my dairy servings on more than one occasion!

I’m the best (worst?) multi-tasker ever. Especially at the gym… I’m usually watching some sort of reality show, studying, and texting- all while making sure to keep up my pace. Not enough hours in the day!

15 Lauren August 9, 2010 at 11:48 pm

I think I’m going to try that tomorrow! I’ve yet to pair peaches w/ nut butter, and it sounds so good! Thanks for the idea : )

I love multitasking ๐Ÿ˜€ Chatting, eating and watching the movie in the same time, yeah, I’m really good at it ๐Ÿ˜€
Nut butter and fruit…sounds lovely. I miss my nut butters ๐Ÿ™

I completely relate to being distracted on the computer! I’m always doing too many things at once. On the car ride up to Philly I would distract myself by actually getting work DONE on my computer. I knocked out my blog post in Live Writer so it was ready to publish when I got home; I typed up the lesson for the adult Bible study I lead, AND got a few freelance articles written. It felt amazing.

Comfort Food for sure! xo

I have to multi-task too. I feel unproductive if I don’t!

20 Stacey August 10, 2010 at 12:53 pm

I’m all for going with your cravings, especially when they are as delicious as that!!

21 It All Changes August 10, 2010 at 3:04 pm

I am such a multitasker and often have to close twitter and google reader to get posts done.
