The Start of a Four Day Work Week

Happy Monday Tuesday everyone!

You know the best part about three day weekends? They’re followed by four day work weeks! Woo hoo!

I hope this week flies because Friday afternoon I’m heading to Miami to celebrate my brother’s girlfriend’s birthday with a weekend at the spa. Love it! 😉

I hope everyone had a great holiday weekend! Did you do anything fun? In case you missed it April & Jason got hitched on Saturday! Probably one of the best weddings I’ve been to in a while. 🙂 Besides that my weekend was pretty simple, boring, and relaxing. 🙂

This morning I started week two of my Chicago Training Plan with mile repeats.


I was suppose to hit each mile at 7:15, but decided to push the goal back to 7:45. That pace seemed more doable in my head this morning and it worked out well.

Post-run breakfast = Cannoli Cereal. 🙂


  • 1/2 cup Kashi Puffs
  • 1/2 cup Kashi Flake
  • 1/4 cup Kashi Go Lean Crisp
  • 1/4 cup Kix
  • Ricotta Cheese
  • Honey
  • Chocolate chips
  • Raspberries
  • Blueberries


Purchasing ricotta cheese is always a special treat for me. I love sweetening it and adding it to cereal or eating it for dessert. Such a tasty addition to every meal. 🙂

The blog is going through a few maintenance tweaks over the next week, so be forewarned if anything happens to it. Cross you fingers that any malfunctions will only be minor ones!

Agreed! I love 4 days weeks! I’m looking forward to this one but I have a TON to do!
I’ve never tried adding ricotta to cereal! I usually stick with yogurt (like breakfast this morning). I’ll have to give ricotta a try! The texture sounds great!

You know what’s better than a four day work week? A two day work week! I have my best friends wedding this Saturday and since it’s in LA, I took off Thursday and Friday. I’m so excited!

Your breakfast looks great – I love ricotta – its such a good replacement for yogurt when you want to change things up.

And nice work with the run! It’s always best to listen to your body 🙂

I would never think to add Ricotta Cheese to cereal. It certainly looks good though.

I don’t think I’ve ever boughten ricotta. Wouldn’t even know a good brand

Smart move to relax the pace on the mile repeats – sometimes you just have to listen to your body!
