Upset Tummy

I woke up this morning feeling sick to my stomach. πŸ™

I decided against the swim I had originally planned for and instead had a piece of toast with butter and tried everything in my power to not throw up. I’m not sure about you, but that’s not how I like to start my mornings.

The toast helped and eventually my stomach began to feel normal again. I blame the multi-vitamin I took on an empty stomach right before bed on my tummy issues. Multi-vitamins with no food never results in anything good.   

I have a LONG day of being trapped in a conference room with my co-workers, so I knew I could not get away with out having a good breakfast. I really wanted eggs, but sadly I had none. πŸ™ However, I made due with the overnight oats I had prepped in advance last night.


  • 1/2 cup Rolled Oats
  • Almond Milk
  • Plain Yogurt
  • Cacao Nibs
  • Chia Seeds
  • Peanut Butter
  • Strawberry Preserves
  • Strawberries
  • Blueberries
  • Blackberries


I hope my stomach can handle this breakfast. So far, so good. πŸ™‚


The next three days are going to be rather full at work. My schedule goes non-stop from 8:00am to 9:00pm tonight. Sounds like fun, right? Luckily this isn’t an everyday occurrence I know these days are going to be productive!

I’m not going to be able to blog from my meeting, so I’ll see ya tonight!

Hmm… I’ve been having tummy troubles recently too. I never have vitamins with food. Coincidence?

This post breaks my little heart, and really makes me think of me and one of my best friends who 2 years ago moved from Southern Ontario to Northern BC (northern as in 6 hours south of Alaska). It really is the little every day things you miss the most, but you will find more friends, and like you said it’s not like you will never not see eachother again. Aug is right around the corner.

I don’t get sick if I take vitamins at night, but I DO have crazy freaky dreams!

Maybe it’s also a little bit stress related too?

That is one long workday!

I’ve had stomach issues when I take multi-vitamins on and empty stomach. I always have to take my vitamin with a meal or else I feel terrible, like I have the flu. Yuck!

Ugh vitamins and an empty stomach do not mix well. I learned that the hard way (getting sick three mornings in a row before work).

That has happened to me a few times from taking multi-vitamins on an empty stomach… its the worst! Glad your feeling better and good luck on your long day ahead!

I take my multi right before bed every night, and every morning I am nauseous until I eat my breakfast…. and that is part of the reason why I now exercise at night instead of the AM
