Nothing Out of the Ordinary Here

by Meghann on June 1, 2010

Group G-Chat Rocks! Just sayin’ 😉

I hope everyone’s morning went smoothly. Any post-holiday weekend disasters? Do share!

Mid-morning I snacked on the last of a bag of TJ’s peanut Butter Pretzels.

Now don’t you worry your pretty little head off. There are two more full bags patiently waiting to take its place in the pantry. 😉

My lunch

Tempeh + Swiss + Spinach + Strawberry Preserves on New Super Secret Arnold’s Bread that was delivered today.

Left over salt & vinegar chips from Saturday

and Cherry Tomatoes

A simple and delicious lunch. Nothing out of the ordinary here. 🙂

Washington DC!

I will be in Washington DC this weekend for the Northface Marathon Relay. If you are in the D.C. area and would like to meet up on Sunday morning please send me an e-mail at

Ahhh, I love pb pretzels!

Have fun in DC!!

That sandwich looks amazing. I must admit, I’m hesitant about trying tempeh. I have a package in my fridge staring at me, waiting to be devoured. Maybe I should stop reaching past it to more familiar edible items.

Thanks for your sweet comment about Hannah’s graduation dress – I never did end up getting any pictures of her with her cap and gown – luckily they had professional photographer there!

No disasters…but I definitely ate and drank too much this weekend! I need a detox or something. 😉

13 Lindsay June 1, 2010 at 3:18 pm

Aren’t those PB pretzels the best? They’re so addictive!

14 Frugal 'n' Fit! June 1, 2010 at 3:31 pm

Every time you mention TJ’s peanut butter pretzels, I shed a little Canadian, Trader Joes-less tear 😉

15 Tina June 1, 2010 at 4:10 pm

I didn’t realize you could group chat on Google. That’s awesome. I’m going to have to look into it.

Salt & vinegar chips are my favorite! Even more so when pregnant and having weird food needs. I actually just picked some up from the grocery store.

16 christina cadden June 1, 2010 at 4:15 pm

mmm, that sandwich looks so good!

17 Tracy June 1, 2010 at 4:29 pm

I live not too far from where the race is. How did you get involved in this relay race, being in FL?

18 theprocessofhealing June 1, 2010 at 4:37 pm

Secret bread? Hmm… 😉
Sometimes there is nothing better than a sandwich and chips, especially in the summer!

19 Cara June 1, 2010 at 4:46 pm

Wow I can’t wait to hear about this bread. When do we get more details?

20 kelly728 June 1, 2010 at 5:33 pm

I just snacked on some pb filled pretzels myself, so good and so freaking dangerous!

21 fitandfortysomething June 1, 2010 at 5:33 pm

22 Lisa @ bakebikeblog June 1, 2010 at 6:05 pm

Great looking sandwich!!!

23 runningwithsass June 1, 2010 at 6:05 pm

have fun on your trip!

24 Kellie June 1, 2010 at 6:21 pm

I am afraid to buy the PB pretzels. I don’t think I could stop at just a handful.

25 Hayley @ Breath of Fire June 1, 2010 at 8:06 pm

I feel like those pretzels have the status of a legend. If only Colorado had TJs!

26 Lauren June 1, 2010 at 8:34 pm

How cool! I wish I was going to be in DC, but we are headed to Cleveland for the weekend. I was just in DC though. Make you sure check out Georgetown. There is a Trader Joes there and tons of cool eats.

Have fun girl!

27 Ashley June 1, 2010 at 9:17 pm

The heating element in my oven caught fire on Sunday and I was oven-less until this evening–does that count as a disaster? I’ve had great fun telling that story at work today… 🙂

I’m craving salt and vinegar chips now!

28 jessica June 1, 2010 at 11:38 pm

This is a really silly question, but how do you g-chat? I have g-mail and I have never used g-chat before!

29 Sweet and Fit June 2, 2010 at 12:21 pm
