Search Stories

by Meghann on April 16, 2010

My bad!

I thought my pool was 50 meters in length, but it turns out it’s only 25 meters. Ooppss… I guess that goes to show how very little I know about swimming, right?!?! 😉

Just as an FYI: I’ve already gone back and changed the originally calculated distances to reflect what I actually swam.

Anyways… Have I mentioned it’s Friday yet? Yippee!!

This morning I had a Nature Valley Bar from my hotel gift basket in New Orleans.

When noon time rolled around I dug into my lunch of left overs.

The Cinnamon Coconut Stir Fry had a chance to really soak in the cinnamon and coconut flavors over the last couple of days and was extra spicy and delicious. 🙂

I am slowly working my way through my easter pumpkin nut bread one slice at a time.

Have you heard of the Google Search Stories?

I just discovered them this morning and spent way to much time creating fun videos.

The idea comes from a Google Super Bowl ad where a guy told a story through his google searches. (you can find the ad here) The ad was such a big hit that google created a way where people can tell their own story through their search stories.

I created a running story.

And just for fun one advertising the upcoming Healthy Living Summit.

(I know I forgot the h in ‘healthy’ I am such a dork. 🙂 )

You can create your own by going to

Go and create one and share your search stories in the comment sections!!

Those movies are too cool! Well there goes my afternoon from doing work 😉

2 Diana April 16, 2010 at 1:53 pm

I’ve watched a lot of those videos around. Some are hilarious. This one shows what Jack (from LOST) would search if he discovered google while he was in the hatch! 😀

9 Rae April 16, 2010 at 2:46 pm

Those are awesome!!!

14 Jul April 16, 2010 at 2:58 pm

Hey Meghann, I actually think it’s much more likely that your pool was 25 yards, not meters (most standard, short-course pools – the standard for collegiate swimming, for instance — in the U.S. are). 🙂

15 Meghann April 16, 2010 at 3:03 pm

It’s meters. I called the gym to ask. 🙂

16 Rachel April 16, 2010 at 2:59 pm

Those videos are so fun! I really want to make one for myself but I can’t think of a good topic. Hmm.

26 jentrinque April 16, 2010 at 4:32 pm

LOL, that skit is funny! I haven’t really watched SNL much for years – like, since I was in high school in the late 90’s! I go to bed too early and only catch it once in a great while. Still funny, apparently.

27 Kelly April 16, 2010 at 4:58 pm
