Massage Envy

by Meghann on March 9, 2010

One of the many perks of test driving the Chevy Traverse for the month of March is the complimentary massage the Chevy Southern Dealers treated my sister and I to at Massage Envy this afternoon.

The free massages could not have come at a better time. After Kelly’s killer half marathon this past Sunday and the Michelob Challenge I completed last weekend, I think our muscles were long over due for a good rub.

I’ve been to Massage Envy a couple of times in the past and one of things I enjoy most about the company is their flexible availability. I like the fact they are open late and on the weekends. This way I feel I can book my appointment around my schedule, rather than having to cater to what ever they have available.

We made sure to arrive a little early in order to have plenty of time for paperwork.

After the paperwork we were brought back to the tranquility room, where our massage therapist collected us at our scheduled time.

My therapist commented on all the tension I had in my right shoulder. I think she spent more than half of my one hour session on just the one shoulder. What ever she did, it worked. I left feeling refreshed and renewed.

If you are in the Central Florida area and in need of a massage of your own then you are going to enjoy this! During the month of March you can test drive the Chevy Traverse at your southern Florida Chevy Dealer and receive a 1 hour complimentary massage from Message Envy!

For more details check out While you’re there check out my newest post Mission to Shop!

My stomach was growling pretty loudly during my massage. As soon as we were done, Kelly and I headed down the street to one of my favorite hole in the wall Indian restaurants.

We shared two spicy dishes that were both flavorful and full of great spice.

Channa Masala

Can’t remember the name for the life of me, but it had vegetables, lentils, and chickpeas

With whole wheat naan

My plate (I went back for seconds)

Kelly came back to my apartment and we had Thin Mints with Thin Mints Ice Cream.

Now we are working on her Princess Half Video. I hope to have it up sometime tomorrow! πŸ™‚

I got a massage at Massage Envy for $35 last Fall to support Susan G. Komen, ‘Massage for a Cure.’

The masseuse KILLED my back–holy moly. She ripped me apart. She said my back was WAY super duper tight and spent all but 10 min. on my back and neck. Whew! It felt amazing though.

I can’t believe you got a FREE one! I wish I lived in Orlando right about now.

Chana Masala sounds so perfect–it’s one of my favorite indian dishes!(also one of the only one’s I’ve had, haha)

3 theprocessofhealing March 9, 2010 at 10:59 pm

So cool about the massage! I have never had one before but I bet it feels amazing πŸ™‚

4 inmytummy March 9, 2010 at 11:00 pm

Why is Massage Envy so inexpensive? Do you have to sign up for a package deal?

5 Carrie @ I See Monsters March 9, 2010 at 11:01 pm

I don’t know which Orlando location you went to, by my best friend and her husband own the Massage Envy at Waterford Lakes! So everyone in the Orlando area use that one, please! πŸ˜‰

The Indian food looks delish. Yum!

6 Emilyeatsclean March 9, 2010 at 11:07 pm

Thin mint addiction?!?!? πŸ™‚ It doesn’t get any better than frozen thin mints though!!

7 Matt March 9, 2010 at 11:13 pm

People actually make fun of me for going there. I need my massages πŸ˜‰

8 biz319 March 9, 2010 at 11:15 pm

I wish I could get massages – I am so ticklish I laugh hysterically! πŸ˜€

More Indian Food! A co-worker gave me an Indian cookbook so I am looking forward to trying more!

You girls are both so pretty! I won’t say Kelly reminds me of Caitlin. But she totally does. I love the picture of the three of you with your camelbaks on the trail!

14 rollerkoesterrun March 10, 2010 at 12:08 am

I am totally massage obsessed! Make sure you drink a lot of water and continue to stretch so that you do not get sore… most people do experience post-massage soreness! Just a tip that you probably already knew πŸ˜‰

Wow – I think a free massage is even better than a month with a new car! Sweet deal! Indian food is so awesome – palak paneer is my favorite!

16 Kat March 10, 2010 at 12:15 am
