Mixing up my Mondays

by Meghann on March 8, 2010

My dates have been messed up all morning.

I woke believing today was the 15th – not sure why – and that I had another doctor’s appointment this afternoon.

I went ahead and packed my lunch in preparation of eating at my desk so that I could head out early.

It wasn’t until I made it to the office that I realized I was one week ahead of myself and my actual doctor’s appointment wasn’t until next week. Ooopss.

No point in letting a good packed lunch go to waste. When lunch time came around I decided to just go ahead and eat my raviloi, chicken sausage, and asparagus combo at my desk.

Might as well get take advantage of getting some extra work done, right?

Maybe I will leave a little early today or maybe I’ll take advantage of this GORGEOUS weather outside and take a walking break this afternoon. Its not fun being cooped up inside all day! 😉

I had also packed a Reeses for an after lunch sweet treat.

Earlier this morning I snacked on a serving of homemade trail mix.

I have a brainstorming session that I need to run off to!

Have a great afternoon everyone!!

I love that you’re still eating the Reeses’ tree; I’m pretty sure the stores are on eggs 😉
The ravioli look great!

taking a walk during the day is such a great way to release from work! that’s really the only time i get for cardio (until daylight savings time anyway), but i’d do it even if i did cardio at another time! happy monday 🙂

I got the dates mixed up all last week, thinking this Monday would be the 15th.
Question – why do you keep the sauce separate from the Ravioli mixture? Do you heat only one part or something?

4 Meghann March 8, 2010 at 2:31 pm

Honestly that was my first time packing ravioli for lunch and I wasn’t sure what the proper protocol was for sauce and ravioli. lol

5 Samantha Angela @ Bikini Birthday March 8, 2010 at 3:36 pm

LOL. you can definitely heat it up together.

I take a walk every day during my lunch break and it’s the highlight of my day! I vote for the walk 🙂

I woke up thinking it was Sunday and then had the painful realization that it was Monday. 🙁

Aww. That made me sad.

I vote for a walking break! It’s finally nice outside here in NY, and I keep trying to spend every minute I can outside.

I love walk/work out breaks! I’d go crazy otherwise!

I love prepping lunches and eating at my desk. I feel for my coworkers who went out in the rain for lunch.

I feel like it’s further ahead this month too! I actually can’t believe it’s March already, it seems like this year is going SO fast :s
Ah well, the faster is goes, the sooner it’ll be summer 😀 😀

I absolutely hate when i mix up my dates like that! I’m ok when i mix up one monday for another, but man, the worst is waking up and thinking its Friday and it’s actually Thursday!

14 Jen March 8, 2010 at 2:56 pm

I did the same exact thing this morning! In fact, I even called into a meeting for work scheduled for the 15 and wondered why no one else was on the call haha.

Love taking walk breaks during the afternoon at work. Yay for spring!

15 Rachel March 8, 2010 at 3:32 pm

Ahhh… That throws me off so much when I get my dates mixed up. I keep thinking this week is the 15th too. Don’t know why I want to leap ahead a week… perhaps I am just anxious for it to be closer to spring 🙂 I vote that you take advantage of the weather and go for that walk!

I love LaCroix seltzer! I get the grapefruit kind 🙂

22 NYCRunnerGirl March 8, 2010 at 5:32 pm

I love how you still have a candy from Christmas! Same thing happens in my house, we actually found part of an easter bunny in the fridge a few months ago…

23 Becky March 8, 2010 at 5:59 pm

I hope you’re ok with all these doctors appointments and that it’s all just routine check up stuff!! Lunch looks delicious!

24 Erica March 8, 2010 at 7:09 pm

What a fabulous looking lunch! Asparagus is amazing right now. Sorry I’ve been a bad commenter! We were on vacation and just got back. Enjoy the beautiful weather

25 masteringpublichealth March 8, 2010 at 7:43 pm

Ravioli on yours and tortellini on Caitlin’s… seems like pasta’s the thing of the day! La Croix brand isn’t near me, but everyone else seems to have that, too.

26 thewhatkateateblog March 8, 2010 at 8:24 pm

i hate mixing up days – at least you didnt think today was a tuesday! its always a bummer when you think its later in the week than it really is.

27 runningwithsass March 8, 2010 at 8:33 pm

28 Raya March 8, 2010 at 9:00 pm

Love that you’re still eating Christmas candy! 🙂

30 theprocessofhealing March 8, 2010 at 10:47 pm

I hate it when you wake up thinking it’s one day… and it isn’t.
Christmas Reese’s! Yay! Can’t believe you still have that!
