Pure Laziness

by Meghann on March 7, 2010

Reason #43232 I LOVE living in Florida: the ability to lay out by the pool after a long day of cheering on princesses.

Derek and I both passed out poolside for 2 solid hours. It felt great to be in the sun. I am very jealous of all the local college students on Spring Break this week. They are really going to luck out with great beach weather. πŸ™‚

Before we passed out, I had a 1/4 of a cantaloupe with plain yogurt and honey puffed wheat.

Dinner tonight was kept simple due to lack of creativity and plain laziness.

I grilled a sundried tomato chicken sausage on the george foreman and served t on a slice of toast with spinach and ketchup.

On the side I roasted asparagus which were cooked for only 5 minutes at 415 degrees so they were still nice and crispy.

And rutagabaga fries that were baked for 15 minutes at 415 with a little salt and pepper and were enjoyed with lots and lots of ketchup. πŸ˜‰

After dinner I discovered some of the left over homemade strawberry and peach compote from Saturday morning and knew it would make the perfect ice cream topping.

I was right! All it was missing was some sort of crust and I would have had pie a la mode. Delicious! πŸ™‚

I’m still not full recovered from my early wake-up call this morning. As soon as I hit publish I will be hitting the sack.

Good Night!

You’re making me think I live in the wrong part of the country! And that I need to invest in a good cantaloupe πŸ™‚ Enjoy the night.

I’m jealous! I went to St. Pete Beach last weekend and it was pretty chilly the entire time. Still way better than Virginia though! πŸ™‚

Enjoy the laziness from time to time. You deserve it after waking up early to cheer on your fellow runners!

We ate at Jeramiah’s tonight; I feel like I’m taking the “Meghann tour” of Orlando!

It is my spring break this week too and I will be enjoying fabulous weather too – except when I say fabulous I mean 40 degrees πŸ™‚ Wish I could make a trip to FL for break!
Those rutabaga fries look and sound delicious. I LOVE rutabagas, so I may have to try that technique.

Do you seriously have access to that pool at your apartment??? I am so envious! If I want to go to the pool I have to go to the rec center. Not even the apartments here have outside pools. πŸ˜‰

13 TorontoGirloutWest March 8, 2010 at 2:18 am

Oh man!!! The pool!!! I can practically feel the warmth!! lol

Well at least the snow is long gone from the Canadian Rockies. I did manage to have my first outdoor run of the season yesterday – and that made me very happy indeed! πŸ™‚
