A Burst of Energy

by Meghann on January 20, 2010

Good Afternoon Peeps!

I hope your Wednesdays are going swimmingly. Mine seems to be moving at a great pace and a burst of energy just came out of no where that I hope will push me through the rest of my day. πŸ™‚

Last night I received a Happy New Year package from the β€˜poptastic’ folks at Pop Chips. Inside was a sampling of all their flavors of chips, including the cheddar flavor I had as my snack mid-morning.

Pop chips are a fun chip alternative, but I always feel like I’m missing out on something when I eat them. More crunch? More chip?

At least the cheddar flavoring was nice. πŸ™‚

Pizza was on my mind for lunch.

mmm… left over pizza is β€˜da bomb’

This is the last 1/3 of the homemade pizza I made on Monday night. It was chewy, slightly cold, and soggy – everything left over pizza should be. πŸ˜‰

Last night’s roasted veggies paired perfectly with the pizza.

Fun fact: I prefer to eat left over roasted veggies cold.

Just sayin’. πŸ™‚

Sunset2Sunrise Florida Relay Race

If you e-mailed me and were interested in this race I will be sending a follow up e-mail out this afternoon with more information. If you do not receive an e-mail by early this evening, then somehow your name was misplaced. Please e-mail me and I’ll get the information to you.

I clicked on the race and WOW! I hope to be brave enough for one of those someday, but until then I’ll live vicariously through you πŸ™‚

3 Karla January 20, 2010 at 3:24 pm

4 Megan (The Runner's Kitchen) January 20, 2010 at 3:24 pm

I like eating my leftover roasted veggies cold also πŸ™‚ Today I had a mix of brussels sprouts, fennel, shallots, garlic, and potatoes.

5 eaternotarunner January 20, 2010 at 3:28 pm

I love leftover pizza πŸ™‚

6 Evan Thomas January 20, 2010 at 3:30 pm

You have to try the sour cream & onion. They’re the best!

7 Rachel January 20, 2010 at 3:33 pm

I have popchips on my wishlist. Is it weird that I have food on my wishlist, haha?

8 Morgan @ Life After Bagels January 20, 2010 at 3:33 pm

ewwwwww cold veggies . . . actually I don’t do cold anything, maybe because I’m always cold!

9 Heather (Heather's Dish) January 20, 2010 at 3:34 pm

i’m the same way – there are a lot of leftovers i prefer cold, but pizza and roasted veggies are at the top! i’d love to try pop chips, even though i keep hearing that they’re not super substantial. cheddar…yum πŸ™‚

10 megan January 20, 2010 at 3:37 pm

I LOVE popchips! I’m jealous that you got some free. I can never seem to find a variety of flavors where I live, and they’re expensive. I’d love to try the individual size bags!

11 Heather January 20, 2010 at 3:37 pm

PopChips are delicious – I love the bbq flavor.

I also prefer leftover veggies cold – same as pizza. Leftovers are better!

12 Matt January 20, 2010 at 3:38 pm

Leftover food is always better. It gives the flavors a chance to meld together. Is meld even a word?

13 Anna January 20, 2010 at 3:40 pm

Mmmm…love that leftover pizza!

14 Kayla January 20, 2010 at 3:42 pm

I had some leftover tomato sauce in the fridge and made little mock pizzas for lunch for leftover baguette. Love using up all the extra stuff — to make room for more! πŸ˜€

22 Elina January 20, 2010 at 5:15 pm

My husband finally tried the little pack I got at the Summit a few days ago and bought 2 bags of it the same day! I’m not much of a chip-girl, but I guess I’m happy he has a new healthy favorite πŸ™‚

23 Jen Papaya January 20, 2010 at 5:18 pm

I love the idea of bootcamp workouts..I’m in the middle (day 15!) of the 30 day shred, and I think in the future I’ll be taking a lot of Jillian’s stuff outside to bootcamp it up!

24 Lisa (bakebikeblog) January 20, 2010 at 5:20 pm

37 Christy January 20, 2010 at 11:30 pm

The popchip’s bag says “never baked, never fried”… so how are they cooked?? And I agree about the leftover pizza — soggy & cold is the best! πŸ˜€
