Sleep, Oh Glorious Sleep!

by Meghann on January 16, 2010

It felt so great to be able to sleep in a little this morning. I believe I ended up with well over 10 hours of sleep! I guess after so many crazy weeks in a row, my body really, really needed it.

I took my time getting up and motivated before putting together this delicious breakfast.

I really wanted eggs in a basket, but was out of any ‘regular’ bread. Instead I brought the same concept to life with an arnold’s thin.

I divided one egg between the two halves and it worked out beautifully. A smear of Crofter’s Superfruit Spread finished it off. Yum!

On the side I had fuji apple slices sprinkled with cinnamon.

A local yoga studio has a great deal on Saturdays where they offer their morning class for just $5! I haven’t been able to take advantage of the deal due to my tough marathon training schedule, but was happy to have the free time this morning to take advantage of the deal.

The class was tough. I managed to work up a nice sweat and was reminded exactly how inflexible I truly am. I already know my arms are going to be sore in the morning.

The class was also a great opportunity to test out the new yoga mat the people at Aurorae sent me to review.

The Aurorae mat was extra thick and definitely gave some extra cushion against the hardwood floor.

I have had problems slipping and sliding on cheaper mats in the past, but that was not a problem with this one. My hands and feet held their place on the mat and all my sweat didn’t make a difference.

I have a giveaway in the works, so stay tuned!

After yoga I snacked on the left over Pumpkin Breakfast Pie I baked yesterday.

I ate it cold and it was still really good. Yum!

Now its time to enjoy my day. So far I am loving my leisurely weekend. ๐Ÿ™‚

aahh 10hours of sleep, you lucky thing! I have to work on 7hrs ๐Ÿ™
Eggs and jam? That’s a combo I’ve never thought of!! (unless I’m misunderstanding what eggs in a basket are..I’ve never heard of that :s even though what you did was a version of :s!)
Equally lucky you with the yoga, I wish I had more time to do some ๐Ÿ™

You know I love you, but how do you eat jam on eggs?! I used to freak if my pancake syrup would even get in the vicinity of my eggs. Of course, I’m sure there are things I eat that other people are gagging over.

I hope you enjoy your day, jammy eggs and all!!! ๐Ÿ™‚

Jam plus eggs is something i’ve NEVER thought about before! I’m a big ketchup and hot sauce fan on mine, so I’m preeeetty skeptical.

Definitely need to get one of those mats. Doing core exercises on hardwood, is hard…on my butt :p
