I’m home!!!

I’m home! I’m home! I’m home!

It’s been a long, long day and I could not be more thankful to be in my jammies on my couch with Maddie on my lap. It feels good to be home. πŸ™‚ If only there wasn’t that whole pesky work thing i need to get back to tomorrow. Dang.

The flight was a little turbulant, but otherwise uneventful. I took advantage of the directTV and watched a marathon of Jersey Shore on MTV. It was my first taste of Jersey Shore and I have to say that show is ridiculous! It was an interesting way to waste a few hours in the air.

I ate the portobello sandwich when the drink service came by and had a mixed nut Mojo Bar when we were told to return our chairs to their upright positions.

We landed a little after 4:00 and form there I was rushed to collect all my stuff, pick Maddie up, head to the grocery store and unpack my car (still haven’t finished doing that). Needless to day somewhere along that list of to do I realized my phone was missing! Ughhhh…. not a good way to return back from vacation.

Luckily, my phone is safe and sound at my parent’s house, which is unfortunately a 45 minute trip away and one I wasn’t willing to make tonight.

All I was craving for dinner was veggies, which is pretty evident if you were able to take a peak at my cart at Publix and see it was piled high with fresh fruit and vegetables.

I made a platter for dinner of zucchini, cheese, cantaloupe, carrots, and pita wedges with some hummus and tabouli in the middle for dipping.

It was just what I was craving. Very refreshing and just what I needed after a day of traveling.

I dove into some of my Christmas candy for dessert. πŸ™‚

Maddie is aching to play and after being away for a week I can not disappoint her!

Good Night!

Glad you made it home safely! I bet Maggie is a very happy doggie!!

17 foodfitnessandfreya January 4, 2010 at 6:30 am

ahh I love having platters for dinner! They always seem so special; I always think dinner is meant to be ‘lump of protein, lump of carb, 2 veg’, all cooked up and son, cos it’s traditional! But I like that you just eat what your body wants, it’s definetly the way to do it! (And it looks delicious :p)
Have a great day πŸ™‚

Glad you made it home safely, Meghann! I bet Maddie was so overjoyed to see her Mommy!
Jersey Shore is a disaster! Gives poor NJ a bad name.

Lol o hate to admit that I’ve been watching nerdy shore but I would be so embarassed to watch that on a plane! That show is just plain dirty. But train wreck addicting!
