Yesterday I put away my pile of clothes and tonight I attempted to conquer one of the many other messes in my apartment at the moment- the pile of Christmas decorations that were needing to be put up.
I needed motivation to complete the task at hand. Watching Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer helped fill me with Christmas spirit. π
Dressing Maddie in Christmas clothes helped too.
Doesn’t she look so thrilled to be wearing her shirt?
I had originally purchased this ‘Puppy’s First Christmas’ shirt for Abbie a couple of years ago.
I uncovered it with the rest of my Christmas paraphernalia and knew it was Maddie’s turn to wear the shirt. I know Abbie would have been happy to share.
I am dying to find a puppy’s first christmas ornament. Let me know if you know where to find one!
Putting my tree up really took no time at all. It may not be as extravagant of a tree as my Mom’s, but its all mine and each ornament holds a special memory.
Do you sense a snowflake theme? I’m a teeny bit obsessed.
I tried to get Maddie to pose in front of the tree, but it was a lot cause. She went back and forth on wanting to eat the tree and being deathly afraid of it. lol
Rewind to earlier this after you will see I invented a killer snack at work.
Brown Rice Cake + Barney Butter + Dried Berries = Yummy!
Try it. You’ll like it!
Since I spent my evening decorating my tree, I really didn’t feel like putting the effort into an elaborate meal. Instead I dug in the freezer and found a Kashi Pizza that had been taking up a lot of space in there for far too long.
Fresh out of the box.
After I pimped it with veggies galore.
Much better!
It pains me that according to the box a ‘serving’ of a Kashi pizza is 1/3 of a pizza. That is simply not enough. I always take at least half. π
The extra veggies really makes the pizza. Granted I haven’t tried this particular flavor un-pimped, but I bet it would be pretty plain on its own.
The last of my Warm Red Cabbage Salad was an excellent accompaniment to my pizza.
For dessert I enjoyed 1/2 of one of Amanda’s Peanut Butter Cup Blondies and a touch of Chocolate Ice Cream.
Paired with a cup of Sugar Cookie Sleigh Ride Tea.
In my favorite Snowflake mug.:)
I <3 Snowflakes!
I’m so happy to have another item crossed off my list! Now I just need to take those boxes to the dumpster. I SWEAR that is in the books for tomorrow.
Pinky promise!
