Cooler Temps, Faster Run

by Meghann on October 17, 2009

Fall weather has returned once again to Florida! The cooler temps are only suppose to last a couple of days, but I’ll take what I can get. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I’m not sure if it was the cooler temps or the speed work I’ve done this week, but my 5 mile run this morning felt effortless. I hardly broke a sweat and my legs felt like they could have gone longer and faster if I allowed them too.

Check out my stats!

  • Mile 1 9:18
  • Mile 2 9:09
  • Mile 3 8:54
  • Mile 4 9:21
  • Mile 5 8:14
  • Total Time: 44:58
  • Avg Pace: 8:59
  • Total Distance: 5 miles

You can see that I felt so great I decided to kick it up a notch for my last mile. I hope my 14 mile run tomorrow is as great as the one this morning was. ๐Ÿ™‚

After the run I refueled with a yummy Saturday morning breakfast.

Pear Raisin Almond Muffin I baked fresh yesterday with Pumpkin Butter

Microwaved egg white with a smear of pumpkin butter on top

Sounds strange, but known knock it until you try it!

Pineapple & Kiwi with Plain Oikos and a sprinkle of Glo-Nola.

My breakfast incorporated everything I was craving, the perfect post-run meal.

Due to an overwelming amount of pleading comments in my post last night, I have concluded there may be another trip to H&M in my near future. You guys know how to make a girl blush! Thanks for the kind words! ๐Ÿ™‚

Have a great Saturday!

I want that pumpkin butter so bad, can’t wait to go home for Thanksgiving and hit up Trader Joes:)
How do you cook that egg in the microwave, just in a cup for a couple minutes?

Haha I totally thought those egg whites were mashed potatoes. Which actually would be pretty good with pumpkin butter too!

You are killing me with all the pumpkin inspired meals! I have been searching in our grocery store but can not find anything! I did find a nice pumpkin salad from Dole. I will enjoy that tomorrow night with our barbeque!

I hope that we get some cooler weather soon too. It will make running that much easier!

I need to pick up some pumpkin butter. Right now I have a quart jar of apple butter in the fridge – do you know how they compare in flavor? ๐Ÿ™‚ I hope you make it back to H&M soon!
