A Satisfying Lunch

by Meghann on October 4, 2009

Just as predicted my post-run breakfast did not hold me over at all. Not even 3 hours later I was ready for a full lunch.

And what a good lunch it was!

I had this brilliant idea today to mix steamed Brussel Sprouts with a tablespoon of Chevre Goat Cheese. I threw in some spaghetti squash seeds and Holy Yum! it was good!

For some extra protein I had the last half of a can of Black Beans.

And some Cous Cous for carbs.

A perfect complete meal that actually filled me up. πŸ™‚

After lunch I met up with Megan to run a few errands.

She was very sweet and brought me some Pumpkin Swirl Bread (recipe here). I couldn’t wait to have a piece.

It was good! I loved the cinnamon swirl in the middle and of course anything Pumpkin is awesome.

Case in point – check out the Pumpkin Spice Hershey Kisses I couldn’t resist at Target.

I tried two almost immediately after leaving the store.

I was expecting milk chocolate with a pumpkin center and was pleasantly surprised to see an orange colored kiss.

Very pumpkiny, the perfect Halloween themed kiss. πŸ™‚

We finished our afternoon with a Starbucks treat.

Grande Unsweetened Passion Fruit Ice Tea

It was nice to sick back and relax.

Thanks for hanging out with me Megan!

Now I’m getting ready to visit my friends at Urban Flatts. Anyone have any suggestions on what I should order?

So glad that you two could kick back and relax!! The weather looks fab (even though you said it was hot out on twitter!!). You need to send some of that nice weather across the ocean!

Ps- how do you keep your nails so long!!

That bread looks great, loving the swirl

If it’s the same Urban Flats that I’ve been to in Winter Park, then everything is good! There is one flatbread pizza I remember that was basically like a salad on top of a flatbread – it was yummy, but I can’t remember the exact name or what was on it. Have fun and enjoy!

Mmm, love the pumpkin kisses! I also noticed a Candy Corn kiss this year? That must be new and sounds very interesting.

Have a great night and have fun!
