Pooped Puppy

by Meghann on September 19, 2009

I need to take Maddie to my parent’s house more often. After roughing it with her cousin Oliver and Uncle Scooby all last night and today, she has not been able to move from this spot on the couch.

I love my warned out Pup!

After my race today, my Mom asked me if I wanted to tag along with her to my Grandpa’s birthday celebration. I said ‘Sure!’ It wasn’t until later that she informed me we were heading to another Mexican restaurant for lunch. I think after last night and today I am done with Mexican restaurants for a while.

Nothing on the menu really appealed to me, so i just went with a standard Avocado Salad that oddly enough was served with a hard boiled egg (??) and politely asked for cheese on the side.

I topped my salad with some salsa a light sprinkling of said cheese and enjoyed a couple of plantains on the side.

The salad was ok, but not very filling. I was hungry again before we even got home.

I backed up my stuff and headed back to O-Town where I immediately dug into a Peach Chobani Yogurt with 1/3 cup of Kashi Go Lean Crunch and Raspberries.

Much Better!

I spent the rest of my afternoon catching up with my DVR. With all these great new shows starting back up, my DVR has been working overtime. ๐Ÿ™‚

My relaxing evening continued when i met up with some fabulous local bloggers – Ashley, Lindsay, Megan, Ryan & Sarah – for dinner at my favorite pizza place.

The best part about going out to pizza with a group of healthy consious bloggers? None of us even had to crack open a menu here, we all wanted the same thing! Usually I order my own pizza, while everyone else shares. ๐Ÿ™‚

For the table we ordered two Mega-Veggie Pizzas with no butter or cheese.

One as is….

And the other minus green pepper and with the addition of Jalapenos.

I had 2 slices.

Make that 3 ๐Ÿ˜‰

We realized the jalpeno version was sort on broccoli so the waitress kind brought steamed broccoli to the table to make up for it. ๐Ÿ™‚

I also had my first Pumpkin Ale of the season!

Yay for fall beer! It’s my favorite beer season:)

After dinner was said out good-byes to Lindsay ( who was only in town for the weekend) and headed to Jeremiah’s for some Italian Ice.

I’ve never been to Jeremiah’s before, but I have to say I think I’m in love. All of the tasty Italian Ice samples were fun to try. I had several favorites.

In the end I went with the P-Nutty Italian Ice with Vanilla Soft Serve.

Delish! The p-nutty italian ice melted with the ice cream and created peanut butter ice cream. It was very creamy and very good.

The best part is, if you just order the italian ice, Jeremiah’s is vegan friendly.

It was a fun night hanging out with some great girls. Currently I am relaxing and mentally preparing for my 12 mile run tomorrow with Caitlin and Megan. It’s going to be a long one, I hope I can handle it.

Good night!!
