Back to Reality

by Meghann on June 22, 2009

Vacation is officially over and I am back in routine.

  • Alarm goes off at 5:30am
  • Take Abbie Outside
  • Go for 4 mile run
  • Shower
  • Get pretty
  • Have breakfast
  • Arrive at work to overflowing inbox

Bye Bye Vacation! It was fun while it lasted!!

Despite the gallon of sweat I produced in the already 85 degree temps before the sun even rose, my run this morning was great. I have been taking it easy and again only stuck to the 4 miles I know my body can handle right now. But the good news is my right leg is at about 95% right now. That’s waaayyy better then the 75% it was at before vacation.

If you ever feel an injury coming on, take my advice and give it tons of rest before it becomes a full blown injury. Trust me it works! Taking a couple of weeks off is better then an indefinite amount of time off. πŸ˜‰

Boy was I craving a bowl of cereal for breakfast this morning.

I had 3/4 cup of Kashi H2H and 1/2 cup of Quaker Oatmeal Squares.

I then topped the mix with some Stonyfield Plain Non-Fat Yogurt, Strawberries, Blackberries, Blueberries and Grapes.

It was definitely a bowl of comfort food that had be roaring to go for the rest of the week.

Now, if you will excuse me I have a bajillion e-mails to get through.

Happy Monday everyone!

I am sooo ready to go on vacation! Last time I was on vaca I was at the beach and had an injury, I was so mad! I had really wanted to run on the beach but my foot was hurting so bad! I supplemented by lifting weights though.

Good luck getting caught up on those emails, I think that is the worst part of taking a vacation. I always feel so behind with work when I return.

Glad the leg is feeling better, and that truly is excellent advice. I believe our bodies give us signs and we often choose to ignore them (well at least I do lol).

Best of luck! πŸ˜€

Agreed, I can’t stress enough how important it is to listen to injuries sneaking up on you. I’m in the midst of that right now, and it sure is a bummer! Glad it’s feeling better for you πŸ™‚

That is great advice about injuries!
