I woke up this morning to a monsoon out my window!

It was raining so bad Abbie refused to go potty, she stayed in the stairwell shaking and giving me the evil eye. I’m sure she has enough will power to hold it until lunch time.

With the raining coming down sideways I decided to forego my run this morning and instead catch up with Jillian Micheals. It had been far too long since we bonded and I could tell she missed me nearly.

I did Jillian Micheals Banish Fat Boost Metabolism DVD for free thanks to Exercise TV. I still like her Trouble Zones DVD better, but I wasn’t feeling the weights this morning. The 60 minute work out was decent and at the end I was a sweaty beast.

Good thing I had a nice cold bowl of cereal to help cool me down.

In the bowl today I had..

  • 1 cup 365 Brand Peanut Butter Pows
  • 1/2 cup Meghann’s Running Mix
  • 1/4 cup Quaker Oatmeal Squares
  • Mango
  • Strawberries
  • Non-Fat Vanilla Yogurt

It was completely satisfying in every which way.

On the way out the door I also grabbed an Adora Dark Chocolate Calcium Disc for the car ride.

I have really been lacking in the calcium department lately and am awful at remembering my daily supplement. Hopefully, if it’s in dark chocolate form, remembering to take my calcium won’t be a problem. 😉

Thanks to the rain it is now FREEZING outside. How could it go from record high  temps in the 90s last week to record lows in the 50s this week? I guess that’s Florida weather for you! Stay dry out there!

Poor Abbie! You must be getting so excited for your race Meghann…with all the hard work you’ve put into it, I’m sure that crossing the finish line will be one of your proudest moments. Those calcium chocolates looks great…where can I snag some??

AWW rain! I hate waking up to a miserable downpour! My doggies don’t care if there’s a hurricane, they would still want to go out LOL

Sounds like a good workout! Thank Goodness there are alternatives to working out outside! 🙂

Great looking breakfast!

Have a great day!

Yes, what is with the COLD weather!! It’s pouring here too!! Can’t believe how chilly it is. Hope you stay warm and dry!

when i started reading your post, I thought you were going to say that you ran in the downpour anyway! It’s nice to see that you’re normal too, and sometimes just don’t want to run in the rain. 🙂

I know, its been pouring here since yesterday! I was pretty mortified when my puppy went in the stairwell last night lol I’m just glad I could clean it up before any of my neighbors saw!

Mmmm I love Adora! And it’s freezing here too, but no rain thankfully. Just frost warnings, ick!

Yum, that cereal mix sounds lovely.

13 Bec May 19, 2009 at 10:33 am

I would have skipped the run too!

14 Lindsey May 19, 2009 at 10:45 am

You know, I’m one state above you (GA) and it is cold here too. Thankfully I think we’re over the rain for now…but I don’t like that we also have gone from wearing tank tops and shorts to warming up my car this morning!

Anyway, I decided I would come out of stalkerdom and make that profound statement that our weather is stupid. Great blog… =)

I like running in the rain!

Great blog! Your story is similar to mine. I gained about 30 lbs in college and made some made diet/exercise changes a couple years ago that helped me lose the weight. I’ll be a regular reader! I added you to my blogroll.
