Boy am I exhausted!
After a week of work play and a long day of traveling, I can barely keep my eyes open and am not looking forward to the start of another work week. I need a vacation from my vacation!
I ended up listening to my body for cues on whether it really needed the Ice Cream or Smoothie I was hoping for. After an hour of catching up on life, it was time to board the plane and my hunger never came. So, no ice cream for me. Darn.
Once the place took off and the drinks were served my stomach finally started to rumble and I had an Apple and the small serving of Honey Roasted Peanuts the stewardess handed me.
We did hit quite a rough patch of turbulance on the flight back that made my stomach do flips as if I were on a roller coaster. Luckily, it was not until the end and only lasted 10-15 minutes. It was still a very terrifying 10-15 minutes!
I rode with my parents back to their house to pick my car and Abbie up. I was pretty hungry for dinner at this point and dug into the fridge as soon as I walked in, looking for something fresh to eat.
I found a piece of leftover homemade whole wheat crust pizza, a carrot and broccoli to satisfy my hunger.
I had to save room for dessert!
We managed to make it all the way home with some lovely pastries we had picked up from Mi Tierra this morning. ๐
I tried a little piece of everything.
All the pastries were of course amazing. I am definitely going to miss San Antonio and all it’s wonderful hidden treasures.
Now I need to get to sleep! I can’t wait to go for a nice long run tomorrow morning and enjoy a great big bowl of cereal in the morning!
Isn’t San Antonio awesome! Hope you get some good rest!
YUMMY pastries! I totally admire your self control sometimes. I love how you just took a taste of each. Glad your flight back was safe (even if there was that nasty patch of turbulence)!
Glad you made it home safely! So did you like San Antonio more than you liked Long Beach?
