Pretzel, Pretzel

by Meghann on March 23, 2009

For some reason in my head I was lacking veggies this weekend, so I made sure to stock up for my snack today.

I enjoyed fresh Broccoli & Mushrooms with some Jalapeno Hummus. Yum!

I had been looking forward to my lunch all morning! I decided to make the entire Greenwise Pretzel my meal today. Yum!

I don’t even think people realize how large these pretzels are, check it out heating up in my oven. It almost took up my whole baking sheet!

I heated up the pretzel in the oven at 400 degree for about 5 minutes, until it was nice and crispy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside.

With the Pretzel I had 1 cup of Amy’s Low Sodium Chunky Tomato Soup for pretzel dipping and a small Sting Cheese for a little protein.

The Pretzel was even too large for one of my ‘big plates.’

Don’t worry I couldn’t eat this bad boy completely on my own, Abbie helped too!

In other Pretzel News…

Its good to hear that all of Derek’s Pretzels made it their winners safe and sound.

Ryanne sent me an e-mail this weekend stating:

So I was one of the fortunate ones Derek so generously shipped out a pretzel to! … Anyways, it WAS delicious and amazing. Pretzelly without being too salty, and great tearing up into pieces.

You can read Becca’s review of her pretzel here and Hallie’s (who used her pretzel to make the same lunch I had today) here. 🙂

and i think danica needs to make everything…would that be too much to ask? haha!

9 Danica March 23, 2009 at 1:19 pm

Thanks for the shout out Meghann! I had fun baking it all, now I am just trying to give it all away so I don’t eat it 😀

Hmmm….maybe I will have to do a variety pack of the top favorites versus just one thing…..that may not be too hard 🙂 Now that’s a thought!

10 Matt March 23, 2009 at 1:28 pm

I vote for the moon pies!

11 Danielle March 23, 2009 at 1:28 pm

Oh my gosh I can’t believe how big that pretzel is! What a great looking lunch!!

12 Heather March 23, 2009 at 1:48 pm

hey meghann!
do you know what the nutritional info for the pretzel is?

13 Meghann March 23, 2009 at 1:52 pm

Ha! I have no clue. 🙂

I don’t think its too bad considering its all natural and baked… BUT it is a big hunk of bread so I am guessing not too good. Its definitely not an everyday meal, but a fund treat for something different every once in a while. 🙂

14 Brittney March 23, 2009 at 2:16 pm

Yummy looking pretzel! It looks huge! But yummy of course! It seems like out of no where I will realize that either my fruit/veggie intake has been low. It’s like it catches me by surprise as if I’ve totally checked out! hah!

31 biz319 March 23, 2009 at 9:18 pm

Not only will I bid, but I can offer up my pistatio and cranberry (or any combo really) biscotti. Two dozen if you are interested?

Email me at and let me know if you are interested. You are so close!

32 Marianne March 26, 2009 at 8:33 pm

That is one giant pretzel. It’s been way too long since I’ve had a yummy doughy pretzel like that. Gotta have it with mustard though!
