Trying to Wake Up

by Meghann on March 11, 2009

I am having trouble keeping my eyes open at my desk at the moment. Not a good way to start the day. It’s sad when its 8:00am and I just want to go back to sleep. Is it ok if I still blame the time change on this one?

My alarm went off at 5:30 this morning, which is technically 4:30 ‘normal time’ blah. No wonderful I feel like I am having trouble staying awake.I need to get used to this before I drive myself crazy.

The weird part is I wasn’t sleepy when I went for my 4.5 mile run, start laundry this morning or had breakfast, it just hit me on the way to work this morning. Oh well.

I was thankful for breakfast this morning and the return to my highly coveted bowl of cereal. It had been far to long since I had lovely crunchy, morning treat.

In the bowl I had 3/4 cup 365 brand Cinnasnaps, 1/2 cup Cheerios, 1/4 cup Nature’s path Pumpkin Granola, Strawberries, Plum, and Oikos Vanilla Non-Fat Yogurt.

It was really comforting to enjoy the cereal this morning. Oh how I missed it so.

I off to find some STRONG caffeinated hot tea to try and wake me up some. I can already tell its going to be a loooonnnnggggg day.

I am so impressed that you ran 4.5 miles this morning. I cannot run in the morning. I have tried several times with little success!

Your bfast looks yummy! Good luck getting through the rest of the day!

Yes! It’s totally allowed – I’m still WAY off because of the time change – I think that’s a valid excuse for like – 2 weeks! 😉

Ugh…the time change is bothering me too! Plus it is dark and rainy here, which doesn’t help the sleepy feeling!

the time change is still messing with me too.

welcome back, cereal! 🙂

Definitely blame the time change and all the stress you’ve been under lately!

Hope the rest of the day goes by quickly!

It is OK, I am still struggling to wake up, as well. 🙁

Cereal is such a great comfort food 🙂 Love the fresh berries!

W A K E U P !!!!

Did that help at all? 😉 Hope you find some energy soon!

I’m gong to blame my sluggishness on the time change, at least until midsummer. Nothing’s going to be said about staying up late to watch bad reality TV…that has NOTHING to do with this.

At least you woke up on time – I woke up 20 minutes before I had to be to work!!

Hope you found your strong coffee!

Ok I’m glad to read I’m not the only one who is blaming the time change for being “off” I’ve been going to bed at midnight this whole week, which is WAY too late for this grandma! I’m hoping to slowly transition into my normal schedule, but it’s not going well so far.

Time changes really screw with me for a week or so. I need to move to AZ where they do not do such foolish things….
