It has been nothing, but relaxing and unwinding since our race adventure this morning.
Case in point: a nice glass of Cab poolside.
Now this is what I call relaxation. π
I split 2 generous glasses of wine with Derek and was feeling fine.
After wine came snack time.
Nothing like Fruit Salad & 1/2 a Heath Bar inspired Blondie to get me through nap time.
Abbie betrayed me during nap time and found another snuggle buddy.
The whore!...jk
My legs were feeling pretty tight after all the rest, so I stretched with some Runner’s Yoga thanks to yogadownload.com.
In continuing with our Carb Loading theme of last night, we decided Individual Pizzas were on the menu for tonight.
We used pre-made Publix pizza dough to make three personal pan pizzas. I topped mine with Cauliflower, Broccoli, Carrot, Onion, Tomato, Mushroom, & Feta Cheese.
I had more Fruit salad on the side. It was GOOOD! and exactly what I needed. π
I feel like my sweet tooth has been on fire today! I need to get away from all of these sweets. I had not one, but two desserts tonight!
First was a 1/2 cup of Edy’s Chocolate Brownie Ice Cream with a 1/4 Blondie crumbled on top.
Second, was a Thin Mint Girl Scout cookie, Caitlin had bought outside Publix today. The girl who sold it to her was just tooo cute for words!
Help! Help! Help!
So as of right now the forecast for tomorrow morning is not looking good. Rain, Rain, Rain…. π I’m still crossing my finger and hoping for the best. Please cross your fingers too for bright sunshine for our half marathon.
I have ZERO experience with running in the rain, especially 13.1 miles. Does anyone have any rain advice they can share?!?!?! The race starts nice and early at 6am, right when the first rain cloud is suppose to explode. π
Other then the rain threat, I feel great about the race tomorrow and no matter what I hope to rock it.
Wish me luck!!!!!!
abbie is a slut!
I don’t have any rain race advice, but don’t let it throw you off. Most likely your race gear is sweat wicking fabic, so you won’t be too uncomfortable. Enjoy your race – even it’s in the rain π Good Luck!
Mmmmm, the pizzas look delicious! Good luck tomorrow!!!!!!!!
Oooh delicious pizza! Good luck tomorrow!!!
No real experience running in the rain…sorry! Good luck on your half!!! Sorry I missed ya today, but see you for lunch tomorrow!
GOOD LUCK MEGHANN!!!
Good luck tomorrow!!! I’ve raced in the rain before and really don’t do anything differently. It’s actually kind of fun to run in that. π Just go out there and do your best. My only real advice is to avoid cotton. That will just be uncomfortable after a while if it’s wet. Have fun!
That pizza looks especially delicious!! CONGRATS on your amazing raceS today and good luck tomorrow!
haha abbie! that bed caitlin is in looks like heaven haha. good luck to you both tomorrow!!!
rain runs are the beeeeeeest.
unless its cold. and after a while wet shoes give me the creeps.
so lets hope that it doesnt start to run until about mile..12? haha.
i added you to my blogroll! hope thats swell.
Looks like a fabulous afternoon! Good luck tomorrow! Wishing for no rain!
Pizza, blondies… holy yum!!!
ROCK IT OUT TOMORROW!!
I lived in Seattle of all places until i went away to college and have run in the rain countless times and snow! As long as its not going to be cold you shouldnt have to wear anything different but you can wear a hat and then the water won’t get in your eyes! The rain definitely keeps you cool on long runs though! Good luck!
hi! i just started following your blog recently…although i’m sorry to say i’m not a blogger yet. i ran my first 1/2 marathon in the pouring rain and cold…my only advice would be to wear thin socks (so they don’t soak up too much water) and avoid the puddles!
good luck! your three race weekend is so inspiring!
gluck Meg! you’ll do great! I loved hearing all of the recaps!!! π
p.s. i added you to my bloggy roll!! π ive been so slow with it! yay!
Mmm the pizza looks delicious! nap time is always great!

congrats on your race!!
sounds like a nice afternoon. enjoy your evening
Great job! And love the eats!
hahaha…slut! hilarious.
DON’T WEAR COTTON! I ran a 10k in cotton and it was horrible! and don’t take your ipod! it’ll get ruined!! i did that too. π
Glad you were able to relax after your runs! The pizza looks delish!
ahhhh, pool weather! so jealous. your pizza looks perfect of course, mmmm. and i think i’ve def got you beat on dessert quantity tonight …
good luck with the race tomorrow! hope the rain holds out. i can’t believe you will have basically run a marathon over the course of the weekend. good practice for the real one you have coming up!
Ahhh, what a fun and relaxing afternoon. I love your wine picture!
Enjoy the rest of your evening and good luck tomorrow!
Congrats on today and good luck tomorrow! Have a drink for me when it’s all over with!
Ok first of all…INCREDIBLE day of races!!!! I am so proud and inspired by you!! Your 5k time would probably be my 5k time…but never could I imagine running it AFTER a 15K!!!! amazing!!!
ALso I am SUPER jealous of your day my the pool…I am sitting here with my down jacket still on..yeah…its cold π
Hahah Abby!
wear drifit so even though you’ll be wet, it wont be like soaking wet cotton. good luck!
Good luck tomorrow. I hope the rain stays away but if it doesn’t just have fun with it!
GOOD luck good luck!! pleeeaase no rain
good luck tomorrow!
I think i would wear a headband or something to keep the water from dripping down my face (hate that feeling).
So not fair that it is THAT sunny in FL and so not over here in England lol.
Wear a hat if it rains! It’ll keep the rain out of your face so you can see where you are going π
Enjoy it!! Can’t wait to read the recap.
Hi Meghann! I am a new commenter but have been following your blog for awhile. Good luck tomorrow, I can’t wait to read the recap!
I live in a rainy city (Vancouver, BC) and am always stuck running in the rain. I find it helps to wear a hat or some sort of headband to keep hair out of your face, capris/shorts so your pants don’t get soaked at the bottom, and no cotton whatsoever! Here’s hoping the weather holds out for ya.

Rain advice: umbrella hat + green bikini. Work it.
I had to run in the rain yesterday! not too fun! I hope you all had good weather this morning. best thing to wear to run in the rain:baseball cap. keeps the rain out of your face!
I loved reading about your weekend. I avoid running in the rain at all costs, so I’m no help!
I think that finishing a race in the rain means you are officially hardcore!! π Good luck!
I know you’re already running (and maybe already done!), but a hat is the best thing π
Derek is cute π
good luck with the third race!!!

Congrats on your TWO races today! Love the last minute decision to run all three! Hope the race today goes well!
I’m too late to give any useful advice – so sorry! Running in the rain really isn’t that bad, but I would recommend wearing a baseball cap – the worst part is rain getting in your eyes. You guys are going to do AWESOME!
Im hoping for no rain for you girls!! But who nows, maybe it will be more fun that way! I’ve always wanted to run in the rain!
Good Luck!!
yuummyyy icecream & blondie combo!
Hi Meghann,
I enjoy reading your blog – very nice. Those blisters look deep and painful. You might want to wear mole skin over them while running to protect them while healing. Also, mole skin can prevent blisters. Have you tried them? Joy
