Morning Flow

by Meghann on February 20, 2009

Yay! Itโ€™s Friday! ๐Ÿ™‚ I am sooo ready for the weekend. Even though itโ€™s another busy one, I like the fact of not being chained to a desk 8 hours of the day.

I plan to leave work a little on the earlier side today in order to get a nice bike ride in, so this morning I took a break from running and woke up with Morning Flow from

This routine may have been a teeny bit out of my yoga abilities, but it was still nice to start the morning with some backbends. Its funny to think in high school I could go forward and backwards with these things, but it has been a few years since I have even attempted one and I have to say it was a bit of a challenge. I also decided to not even attempt the shoulder stand and am glad only Abbie was the only witness to my plow pose. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Besides that it was a great work out that woke my body up this morning.

Breakfast was a lovely bowl of cereal with some vibrant, beautiful berries on top.

In the bowl was 1/2 cup Kashi Mighty Bites, 1/2 cup Kashi Cinnamon Harvest, 1/2 cup Kashi Honey Sunshine, Peach Chobani, Strawberries and Blueberries.

Could those berries be any better looking?

Lately I have really been enjoying reading up on all of the post activity revolving around my Blogging Bake Sale. All of the bakers have been hard at work baking up their goodies and shipping them off in a timely matter.

Audrey, a blog reader and highest bidder of Tamiโ€™s Whoopee Pies, sent me this e-mail yesterday regarding her delicious purchase. I would say she is very please with the pies and I mean who wouldnโ€™t be? Look at those babies! I want to stuff them all in my mouth right now! LOL

Hi Meghann!

Just emailing you to tell you I received my whoopee pies today!

The pies are very delicious, with a chocolate cake on the outside and a sweet and creamy filling on the inside- (just like an oreo!) and they’re the perfect size for a nice dessert(or snack!)

I received a nice card along with the recipe for the pies, and of course the pies themselves!

Thank you again for doing this bake sale! I very happy with my winnings and am glad I helped you on goal for running a marathon!

Thanks Again!

If you were the highest bidder of a goodie and want to share your story please send me an e-mail at I would love to hear about it! ๐Ÿ™‚

Happy Friday! Yummy berry breakfast!

2 Dori February 20, 2009 at 9:11 am

This is making me reallyyyyy regret not winning! But I am happy people are so pleased with it all – can’t wait to hear more!

Also, I envy your aiblity to do a yoga download in your own apartment. I would never be able to stick with any exercise thing there, I get too antsy.

I bet little Abbie was a great yoga buddy/observer. ๐Ÿ™‚

I love being able to workout in my own house…significantly less embarrassment!

I’ve already got a recipe picked out for your next bake sale!

I love the Morning Flow from yogadownloads! Also, those berries look delicious; I’m jealous! ๐Ÿ™‚ Check out my blog!

Hooray for the yogadownloads. I agree that I didn’t love the Morning Flow. Something about all those backbends right after I woke up was just a little too much haah! Also, I cannot do plow yet, but I have mastered the shoulder stand! I think that my back is not so flexible yet, but I have the core strength to hold the shoulder stand. Give it a try! No one’s watching! ๐Ÿ™‚

15 Aimee February 20, 2009 at 11:19 am

I just wanted to let you know that Hollis emailed me to let me know that the cookies I mailed her arrived.

Happy Friday!!

I also really loved someone’s idea a while ago that you create a blogger cookbook and sell it to raise money. I’m not sure how much it would cost. Maybe you could even email someone like snapfish or shutterfly and see if they can get you a really good discount, because it is for charity??

Oh man…now I am so determined to win something next time!! BRING IT ON ๐Ÿ˜€

Have a lovely day.

I was a baker, not a bidder and that was really fun! I like the cookbook idea!

18 Hangry Pants February 20, 2009 at 11:23 am

I think zesty cook is doing something like that, so he could probably help you if you wanted to do it too.

26 Andrea February 20, 2009 at 5:29 pm

When I first saw the pic of your cereal I thought, “could those berries look any better?” I guess we know the answer!
