The twins would LOVE a new sports bra!!

Out of 396 entries I used and got the number 167 which was Lindsey! Congrats!

Lindsey please e-mail your address and sports bra size to me at and I will pass it along to Gracie.

I’m so bummed I only have one bra to giveaway! It looks like there are quite a few of you in desperate need of a new sports bra. Well, just because you did not win it, doesn’t mean you can no enjoy the benefits of Gracie’s wonderful sports bra. You can order them at her website at and trust me its worth it. They are currently not available at any retail locations, but Gracie is a frequent running expo attendee across the country!

Oh and some of you were asking about sizes. Gracie’s Sports Tops are great for everyone was the well endowed to the not so endowed. The one I am wearing in the pictures is the size small, but they run up to x-large. Feel free to e-mail me if you have any specific questions on the bra.

Unfortunately this morning my new sports bra was in the wash so I could not enjoy it on my run (I need to order another one). I am one of those people who get really sweaty on runs so my sports bras only get worn once and are tossed in the wash. Do you wear your sports bra more then once before washing them?

Gasparilla is a couple of weeks away and I think the week off of running was really a bad idea I have felt so slow this week in my runs, I need to find that quick rhythm again. I ran 5.6 miles and averaged 10:15 per mile. I want to try to get back under 9:30 like I was at the beginning on my trainings for this race. Blah.

For breakfast I found the left over Barney Butter Pancakes, Melissa and I made a couple of weeks ago that were buried in my freezer. I coated the pancakes with Peach Chobani Yogurt, Strawberries, Blueberries and Blackberries.

These did not freeze well. They were pretty dry when we first made them and now they are extra dry. Thank god for the yogurt, other wise I might have given up and let Abbie have them for breakfast. I think waffles are much better at freezing for and popping in the toaster.

Traveling Blogger

Speaking of Gasparilla, Caitlin and I are trying to plan a lunch blogger/reader meet up in the Tampa are on Sunday March 1st after the half. Send me an e-mail at if you’re interested.

Also just some upcoming dates I’m looking into set up meet ups for.

I will be in the Long Beach area and would like to plan a dinner for April 24 if anyone is interested let me know!

There is also San Antonio on May 15th and San Diego the last weekend in May. Again, if you’re in those area let me know and I’ll see if we can plan a dinner of sorts.

Alright time for work!

1 caitlin February 12, 2009 at 8:44 am

hahah as i reuse socks, i also reuse sports bras but only if i didnt wear them on a realllly long run.

excessively washing your sports bras isnt good for them so its actually smart to be stinky!

2 VeggieGirl February 12, 2009 at 8:47 am

Congratulations to the winner!! 🙂

Happy Thursday, Meghann!!

3 Michaela February 12, 2009 at 8:54 am

I absolutely have to wear my sports bra more than once. Otherwise I have to do laundry much more often than I care for!

4 Dori February 12, 2009 at 8:57 am

As gross as this might sound, I wear my sports bras repeatedly without washing…. one of the downfalls of city living without easy access to washing machines and too lazy to handwash

5 Mica February 12, 2009 at 9:05 am

I generally wear my sports bra for a week and then wash it. Yeah, I’m gross….

I should go get another one I guess. Hummmm.

6 Kristie Lynn February 12, 2009 at 9:08 am

Mica – I do the same thing. Mostly because every Sunday is my laundry day, so that’s when everything gets washed.

7 Annie February 12, 2009 at 9:17 am

I re-use my sports bras! Eeew. I’m so jealous of Lindsey’s win! But I’m glad you pointed the way to where we can buy them because I really really want one.

Also, I was thinking about running sneaks last night. I’m been a loyal fan to Mizuno but I really like your new Asics! Are you still loving them?

8 brandi February 12, 2009 at 9:18 am

Congrats to the winner!

I’ll wear them again (same as socks) if I didn’t get too sweaty. I have a bunch, even though they’re all kind of crappy so I don’t usually run out.

9 Betsy in Pgh February 12, 2009 at 9:23 am

Yeah… I’m guilty of rewearing sports bras too. But only in the winter! I feel like you can’t smell B.O. when it’s really cold outside, but in the summer when everything’s hot & sweaty, yeah, wash that ish.

10 fitforfree February 12, 2009 at 9:23 am

those berries look SO good! I love yogurt on pancakes.

I definitely wear my sports bras more than once; I usually hang them up after exercising so they’re dry the next day. I don’t have enough of them to wear a new one every day!

11 Audrey February 12, 2009 at 9:26 am

i never reuse my sports bras but after reading caitlins comment i might roommate in college told me not to reuse them because i would get bacne/chest acne so i never did but im sure reusing once wont hurt.

12 Sarah February 12, 2009 at 9:39 am

i usually wear all my gym clothes (includings socks and sports bra) through two workouts. might be gross, but i don’t sweat tons, and getting to the laundromat is such a complicated process!!

13 Colleen February 12, 2009 at 9:41 am

So glad to see I’m not the only one reusing my workout gear! I have enough socks to get new ones every day, but everything else gets recycled for (sometimes) several days. Besides, I work out in the dark at 5am in my neighborhood, who’s going to see/smell me? My only prayer is that if I do get into an accident it’s on a Monday when my workout clothes are freshest. LOL!

14 Julie February 12, 2009 at 9:43 am

I wear my sports bras twice before washing…it’s smelly and gross, but I only have 4 good ones. I feel nasty saying it because I said yesterday on Caitins blog that re-wearing socks grosses me out! Sweaty socks-ew, sweaty bras-no problem.

15 Jenny February 12, 2009 at 9:50 am

I do reuse my bras more than once–usually an entire WEEK or so. Just because I only have two I really love for the “girls”. 🙂 Glad everyone else likes to be smelly , too! HAHA!

I do tend to stick it in the dryer to dry the bras up a little. haha GROSS!!! 😛

16 Sara February 12, 2009 at 10:28 am

You’re pancakes and fruit look so good. I usually wear my sports bras 2-3 times before washing them. I don’t have a whole lot of good ones, so I want to get the most I can out of them.

17 Amelia February 12, 2009 at 10:32 am

I’d say I usually only wear sports bras once. Therefore I have like 10 LOL. The only time I rewear them is after I do exercises other than running, like circuit training stuff where I’m not getting as sweaty.

18 sarahdbelle February 12, 2009 at 10:49 am

Oh, wow. Those pancakes look so good!

19 Missy (Missy Maintains) February 12, 2009 at 10:54 am

I wear my sports bras a few times before washing. I really need to get some more! I would wash them more but it is 1.50 to wash anything in my apt! I guess I could hand wash them…

20 eatingbirdfood February 12, 2009 at 11:00 am

Dang it! Congrats to Lindsey..

I reuse my sports bra- I make sure it has time to dry/air out before putting it back on though.

You should have a meet up in VA!! 🙂

21 tami February 12, 2009 at 11:08 am

i reuse as well, when i weight lift i don’t sweat as much and if i am just running for a short time. i have 4 sports bras and they get me through the week ok.

22 Danielle February 12, 2009 at 11:20 am

I definitely reuse my workout gear, right down to my sports bra (but not my socks), if my apartment had a washer though that might not be the case.

23 Shelby February 12, 2009 at 11:25 am

Sorry about the pancakes, that’s why I only make small batches of pancakes…I don’t think they freeze too well.

They do look really good though! Love the fresh berries and yogurt.

24 biz319 February 12, 2009 at 11:25 am

Rats, I’ll have to pony up for that bra! Um, I sweat a lot too, but I only wash my sports bra like every third day. I usually just hang dry it when I am done, then toss it on the fluff cycle of my dryer with a scented dryer sheet.

I think it would wear out quicker if I washed it every time I used it!

25 Julie February 12, 2009 at 11:31 am

haha I was so glad to see that my Kashi bars werent in the recall dates too. I would have been pretty ticked if they were. That sports bra looks awesome 🙂 Enjoy your day!

26 Sarah February 12, 2009 at 11:34 am

You guys smell really bad. Do some laundry already!!! 😉

We may be in Anaheim the last week in May…

27 Courtney (The Hungry Yogini) February 12, 2009 at 11:41 am

i only wear em once!!

I may be in Tampa!! That would be so fun!

28 Marissa February 12, 2009 at 11:49 am

Sorry your pancakes didn’t freeze well 🙁

29 Sweet and Fit February 12, 2009 at 11:50 am

umm…I guess this makes me kinda lazy, but I wear my sports bra twice before washing it – if I did run as much as you did, I probably would wash it everyday too.

30 bobbi February 12, 2009 at 11:58 am

I have a contest up today:)

31 Jess February 12, 2009 at 11:59 am

Meghann, I live in San Diego and I’m also running Rock n’ Roll– we should definitely do a reader meet up dinner to celebrate after the race!

Can anyone recommend a good sports bra for a C-cup? Right now, I wear the Moving Comfort “Fiona” but I’m looking for a new one. Thanks!

32 Danielle February 12, 2009 at 12:00 pm

Yay I love giveaways and contests, I get so excited 😀

33 Lindsey February 12, 2009 at 12:01 pm

This seriously just made my day. I’ve actually just started getting in shape again, and am so excited for the new sports bra!!! 😀

34 ksgoodeats February 12, 2009 at 12:03 pm

Congrats to Lindsey! Sorry your breakfast was a little dry – it still looks pretty 🙂

35 Meg February 12, 2009 at 12:11 pm

Congrats to the winner! I will wear my sports bra twice if there wasn’t too much sweating going on!

36 Melissa February 12, 2009 at 12:39 pm

I think you need to come to Wisconsin ASAP and do a blogger meet up 🙂

Is it gross that I wear my sports bra a bunch of times? In my defense, I don’t really sweat. Plus I only have 2 and I only do laundry twice a week so I’d have to buy more sports bras 🙂

37 Kaye February 12, 2009 at 12:44 pm

Long Beach, CA???

38 Kate February 12, 2009 at 12:52 pm

Bummer a/b the pancakes b/c they look amazing!!! BUMMER-I USED to live right near Long beach…I don’t think there are too many blogger destinations here in the midwest:P

39 Maddy February 12, 2009 at 12:54 pm

Hey Meghann! I live by Tampa and I’d love to come. I have to make sure I don’t have anything else going on but keep me updated =)

40 aron February 12, 2009 at 1:04 pm

there are a TON of bloggers i know (including myself) in SD for the marathon!! i think we are planning a meet up so i will definitely let you know. let me know if you are planning anything as well 🙂

41 Meghann February 12, 2009 at 1:11 pm

Kaye – Yes Long Beach, CA

Maddy – Awesome, I’ll put up another call out next week

Aron – thanks for letting me kno!

42 Kristen February 12, 2009 at 2:14 pm

Hey Meghann! I’m a long time lurker…I lurk on everyone’s blogs =) But, I really love yours!! Your meals always give me inspiration! I live in Newport Beach, CA and would love to do a meet up. There are so many great restaurants in LB…. it would be awesome!

Jess, I’m a c-cup and love my under armour strength sports bra. It really holds the puppies in when I’m running and wicks away my sweat. =)

43 Ryane February 12, 2009 at 2:19 pm

Oh good, it’s nice to know it’s… commonish to rewear sports bras! I get pretty sweaty too, but hang mine up and try to go a day or two before wearing that one again… by the end of the week my bathroom is covered in stinky sports bras.
I am, however, more touchy with my feet and won’t run without fresh socks.

I’ve been wanting to try a running skirt but haven’t gotten around to buying one – do you like it a lot? more than shorts? and any tips on brands or lengths/styles/etc??

44 Andrea (Off Her Cork) February 12, 2009 at 3:20 pm

Oh for sure I wear them more than once before washing them. Febreeze is your friend! After a workout, I spray the bra with febreeze and then hang it up to air dry. Perfect for when I need it next. 🙂 I also don’t put them in the dryer as it tends to dry out and wear out the elastic.

45 Bec February 12, 2009 at 5:04 pm

Your pancakes look amazing, too bad they were too dry. I usually wear my sports bras a couple of times before washing, but I always hang it up to air out after each use. My spandex stuff never goes in the dryer as it wears it out way faster then air drying and I have had a few items melt to the side of the dryer (stupid laundry mat!).

46 Lindsey (Mrs. LC) February 12, 2009 at 5:09 pm

Dang, I saw Lindsey and got excited, nvm!! And look at you, Miss Traveler! How fun, I wish I could travel like that for my job!

47 Sammie February 12, 2009 at 8:03 pm

I never reuse any article of clothing that I workout in or wear during the day for that matter. I don’t care if I sweat a ton or not – I like fresh clean clothes everyday. My hubs will wear jeasn twice – I find that to be gross. I guess that is why I always have so much laundry.

48 Justy2003 February 12, 2009 at 8:36 pm

I can only wear my sports bras once if I’m running. I get extremely sweaty while working out…it’s kinda gross.

San Antonio in May?! What are you going to be doing there? I’m in Houston, so if there’s a big blogger meet up, I may be tempted to join in! Keep me updated! 🙂

49 Melissa S. February 12, 2009 at 9:28 pm

omg so many people who reuse sports bras…i NEVER reuse mine…maybe it’s because i sweat like there is no tomorrow…heh.

50 carolinebee February 12, 2009 at 11:29 pm

Yo baby! I live in Long Beach what’s up!!? That’s awesome you’ll be here, let me know the plan I’m there

51 rd2be February 13, 2009 at 1:07 am

I wash my sports bras in the shower right after I wear them. I would hand wash them anyway so they don’t wear out as quickly and I figure I might as well multitask.
