Back on the East Coast

by Meghann on February 7, 2009

I’m back in Florida! I got off the plane and was welcomed by a rush of humidity and 72 degree temps… it’s good to be home. πŸ™‚

It was a very early start this morning. I was up at 4:00 and dug into my breakfast around 4:30 in the car.

I had some Vanilla Oikos mixed with Peanut Butter Puffins and Strawberries. This was a very difficult mix to eat in the car in the dark in a small cup.

While waiting to board I had a 1/4 of my Dad’s Ham and Egg Crossiant and a handful of Grapes.

When we made it to the airport I picked up a Vegetable Sandwich from the Paradise Cafe to have on the plane.

I think I ate this about 10:00 Colorado time and 12:00 Florida time, as I was trying to get back on Florida eating time schedule.

The sammie was great and came with an Apple on the side.

It also came with a Chocolate Chip Cookie that I split with my Aunt.

My Aunt was my travel buddy on the plane.

When we made it back to Florida it was about 2:10 local time and my parents were hungry from not eating anything on the plane. After a trip to Publix, somehow I ended up with my second lunch of the day. I’m telling you traveling really messes up my eating schedule.

I had Veggie Spring Rolls and a single Chicken Tender.

I was told to pick up something quick and easy for dinner tonight while I was at the store so I picked up some pizza dough and toppings.

I made a personal pizza using Publix’s pre-made Pizza Dough which I topped with Marinara Sauce, Broccoli, Cauliflower, Ham, Carrots, Mushrooms and Goat Cheese.

It was really yummy, but I think I was still full from my second lunch so I only ate half of the personal pizza.

You should see the Meat Extravaganza pizza my little brother made.

This one has Ham, Sausage, Bacon, Pepperoni, Peppers, Mushrooms, Mozzarella, and Goat Cheese.

After dinner I my Aunt and Cousin Angela at the movie theater to see He’s Just Not That Into You. If you’re a single girl I HIGHLY suggest you see this movie!! As corny as it sounds it gives me hope that one day I can be the exception to the rule (see the movie if you don’t get what I mean).

When I got home I broke out the new Ice Cream I picked up.

I had a small bowl.. I wonder how long I can get away with saying it’s my birthday I get to indulge?

It was GOOD!! it made me excited for the GIrl Scout Cookies I know are already starting to pop up outside grocery stores this month. πŸ™‚

T-Minus less then 2 hours until I turn 24!!!! I can’t believe it! I LOVE birthdays! I love the cake, I love the extra attention, I love presents, but most of all I love celebrating with people I love! Tomorrow will be a low key day with big plans for dinner in the early evening. I can’t wait!

When’s your birthday? What’s your favorite part of birthdays?
