We are Rockin’

My legs were feeling pretty tight when I woke up this morning. I guess pushing them this weekend with my 5.2K race and then an almost 7 Mile run yesterday had them begging for a good stretch.

I really enjoyed the Yoga for Runners Podcast through on Friday so I decided today would be a perfect time to try it again. I could feel the yoga poses stretching and lengthening my legs. They enjoyed the gentle massage of the yoga and thanked me immensely for loosening them back up. I think Yoga for Runners maybe my new go to exercise element after any future races.

I also did a hundred or so crunches and 2 sets of 10 push ups to get the blood flowing. It was a nice relaxing work out in my living room for a Monday Morning.

Breakfast was of course cereal. I felt like it had been forever since I had a nice crunchy bowl of cereal.


This morning my mix contained 1/4 cup Kashi H2H, 1/3 cup of Nature Path’s Pumpkin Granola, Strawberries, Blueberries and a dollop of Vanilla NonFat Yogurt.


It was nice and refreshing.

I have some exciting new this morning!! We made the weekend goal and hit the  $1000 from donations for my Team in Training efforts to support the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Yay!!! You guys seriously blow my mind!

A Big THANKS to these lovely ladies for pushing us over the edge.

We should all give ourselves a big pat on the back for raising these funds for a great cause!

I sent an e-mail out this morning for all of the bakers participating in the Blogging Bake Sale Fund Raiser. If you volunteered to bake and didn’t receive the e-mail then send me shout out at and I will forward the information your way.

I’m totally feeling those runs this morning too…remember how i said my quad kinda hurt and i needed to ice it? well, forgot to ice it and today, it hurts like a mofo…i’m def doing some yoga or going for bike ride instead…

btw, did you get a chance to try out your bike? how did it go?

now get to work! hehe!

Hey Meghann! I saw your post on Indian food. Glad you liked it! There are some awesome places in Orlando for Indian food (I’m Indian) including a really yummy Indian-Chinese place! Glad you tried the samosa chat. Chat is one of my favorites! I make it at home healthier too. I take tortillas, cut them, bake them and then top with plan yogurt, chickpeas, potato, corriander, salt, pepper, cumin, and “chat masala” from the Indian store.
