Happy Birthday Daddy

by Meghann on January 6, 2009

Today is my Dad’s 46th Birthday!

Fun Facts about my Dad:

  • He is the 7th son
  • He ran is first 5k with me back in April
  • I was born in the same hospital as he was 22 years later
  • He is the primary chef in the family

I won’t get a chance to see him today, but he has requested a Pudding Pie from my Mom and the two of them are going to a new Cuban restaurant tonight for dinner.

I hope you have a wonderful birthday Daddy!

The great thing about it being my Dad’s birthday is that means mine is just around the corner! February 8th doesn’t seem to far off now. 😉

I woke up this morning determined to get a run in. Even though I still feel icky (I think I’m getting sick) I stuck it out for a 3.79 mile run in 35:48. I decided if I ran faster then the run would be over quicker. Blah… I hate feeling this way. I like to enjoy my runs and make them last, not try to get them over with as soon as possible. I am determined to get a longer run in tomorrow.

I need to go cereal shopping sometime soon, I’m running low on variety. Apparently I’m running low on fresh fruit as well, I had to be creative with what I put in there this morning.

This morning’s combination included 2/3 cup Kashi Mighty Kids, ½ cup of Kashi Go Lean Crunch, 2 spoonfuls of Applesauce, Grapes & canned Pineapple. As much as I didn’t think the fruit toppings would go together, I thought it was a great combination.

Now, its off to work I go!

omg!! we have THE SAME BIRTHDAY! I am turning 22 on Feb 8th! I was supposed to be a valentine’s day baby but was anxious and impatient and came early…I still am impatient and anxious when I am excited lol…Are you doing anything fun for that Sunday? I am traveling to Minneapolis to see my older brother and the following weekend I am celebrating with friends….oh and when I interned 9-5 I always was starving for lunch…however when its the weekends I can wait later…I think its the fact that at work all you think about is work and your next break which is lunchtime lol! just like being back in school!
