Late Night Wine, Early Morning Run

by Meghann on December 20, 2008

Caitlin and I had a blast at our sleep over last night. We watched Elf & The Grinch while happily finishing off the second bottle of wine. Needless to say we both passed out around 11:30 last night… lol… so much for staying up all night.

We had plans to wake up for an early run, but I was regretting that decision as soon as my alarm went off. All the wine left me with a bit of a hang over. Caitlin and I discovered a couple of months ago that running really is the perfect cure for a hang over, so after making sure we had properly rehydrated ourselves, we set out on a 5 mile loop in my neighborhood.

I’m telling you there is nothing better then an early morning run after a night with one too many drinks. I felt great as soon as we started and was so glad we kept with our original plan.

I was STARVING after the run and immediately set out on creating a wonderful Saturday morning breakfast.

I made Waffle French Toast with 2 Kashi frozen waffles. I then topped the french toast with some homemade cranberry sauce, blueberries and blackberries.

It was just what the doctor ordered. Yum!

Now I have a busy day ahead of me. I need to finish up my Christmas shopping, deep clean my apartment and bake up some goodie for tomorrow.

Have a great Saturday everyone!

I’m glad you had fun! I’m going to have to try running when I have a hangover. I’m usually inclined to spend all morning in bed.

Running is the best cure for everything!!! ๐Ÿ™‚ Good for you two for sticking with your plan. I’m sure you would have felt much worse had you not worked out.

have a great weekend!

Do you think you have a good “morning after” run because the carbs from the alcohol fuels you ? =) Interesting strategy!

I have yet to try the frozen waffle french toast, but I have a box of Kashis that begging for me to try!
