Caitlin Takes Over the Keyboard

by Meghann on November 21, 2008

Hi, guys! It’s Caitlin! Meghann called me with some sad news: her laptop died (again), and she’s taking it to Best Buy for repair.  But, her sweet and kind parents are dropping off their laptop in the AM, so Meghann will be back in blogging action TOMORROW! Yay!

She’s kind of upset about the laptop situation (computer repair isn’t cheap!) so let’s leave her fun facts to read when she returns.

I’ll start:

Did you know you can led a cow UPstairs, but not DOWNstairs? Their joint structure prevents them from comfortably navigating down stairs.

That is a VERY strange fact about cows, haha.

**Here’s mine:

The sentence “the quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog” uses every letter in the English language.

The average human produces a quart of saliva a day — about 10,000 gallons in a lifetime

Do you know that leading a cow upstairs is an all time favorite prank of mine? Not that I have ever done it of course, but the elegance is in the simplicity of the prank.

As for a random fun fact:

Every time you lick a stamp, you’re consuming 1/10 of a calorie.

Random fact: For beer commercials, they add liquid detergent to the beer to make it foam more.

Close to 1 trillion plastic bags are thrown away in America each year- let’s recycle people!

Bummer about the laptop.

The microwave was invented after a researcher walked by a radar tube and a chocolate bar melted in his pocket.

sometimes laptops are our best friends and sometimes they are little monsters. :/
When women are angry with a man, 40% of them throw their shoes. Hmm, I believe it. :]

Did you know that the dot on the top of the lowercase “I” is called a …. TIPPLE!! hehe!! For some reason that makes me think of “pittle” which is what my Grandma used to tell our puppy to do when we were little! “Go pittle, Maxxy!” She was so presh :-]

Hi Meghann.. De-lurking for the second time to say I hope your laptop gets well soon!
In the meantime, this should encourage you during your chilly morning runs:
