Caitlin’s Bridal shower was such a blast. She has an amazing family and they made me feel like I fit right in. ๐ The food was great, the games were fun, and when we were actually put to work, everyone made such a great effort with it, that it took no time at all. I would say the bridal shower was a huge success! Here’s my pay by play recap. ๐
First the Food
Caitlin’s Aunts did a great job with the food spread. Everything looked delicious, light, and refreshing. I had some crackers, pasta salad and some citrus salad with grilled chicken breast.
The Aunt who is making the actual wedding cake also created these amazing mini cupcakes. I believe it was an orange cupcake with coconut icing. They were so mini and so yummy I had to have another one.
Second the Games
Caitlin really wanted to have a toilet paper bridal dress competition so we split into teams and got to work.
Of course Caitlin was chosen as one of the brides…
… and some how I got roped into being the other model…lol
These ladies did amazing job on these dresses! I can see someone walking down the aisle in one of these.:)
Of course as we were taking these pictures cars were driving by and slowing down as they passed. And the Fire Truck to the Fire Station across the street just happened to return at that exact moment, only to have a bunch of hot firemen spilling out of it and staring. At least they honked at us. ๐
We really did have a lot of fun with that. Such a great game for anyone who is planning a future bridal shower!
Third the Work
This was a working bridal shower so we had to get to work. I was assign to fill the party favors with M&Ms
I was told any M&M that spilled out of the containers were fare game, so let’s just say I had my fair share of yellow M&M’s during the process ๐
Caitlin was very happy with the job my group did. ๐
Fourth the Hats
Since Caitlin’s Future Husband is British, he is a big fan of the tradition of extravagant hats at weddings. He family was so excited to have to opportunity to wear fun hats that we all decided to take a little trip to the only hat store in Orlando, Foxy Mama Boutique.
This was a just a little place near downtown Orlando that had some amazing hats! We had to wear little plastic coverings on our head and had so much fun trying on all the different hats available.
I did not end up buying any, but Caitlin’s family managed to find some cute ones and Caitlin found a makeshift veil for the wedding.
I could go on and on about my day, but I am once again running late to meet a friend at the movies. Today has just been go, go, go for me! Tomorrow should be a little slower. At least I hope it will be ๐
