Today is the 10th anniversary of my 21st birthday. I can’t believe it’s been 10 years since I wore a silly crown and used my real ID to legally purchase alcohol for the first time.
Time really does fly when you’re having fun.
Instead of impatiently waiting to enter a bar the minute the clock hit midnight, this year’s birthday was a little different. On Saturday I celebrated with some close friends with an early bird dinner at one of my favorite restaurants (Square 1 Burger). The bonus to eating dinner at 4pm is happy hour specials ($3 drafts – woo hoo!) and babies who are content, happy, and not fussy when you’re digging in. We had frozen yogurt afterwards and Annalynn spent the majority of the time making googly eyes with her BFF, Mason.
On Sunday, Derek, Annalynn, and I headed to Downtown Disney (err.. Disney Springs <- that’s going to take some getting used to!) for pizza and bowling with the family at Splitsville.
So much fun. I bowled a strike while wearing Annalynn in the Tula (she was my good luck charm) and pretty much everyone gave up their turns for Owen – who was OBSESSED with knocking the pins down – to take a spin. Love him.
Oh, and it was the first birthday I was able to celebrate with my twin brother in who knows how long. He drove all the way from Jacksonville to meet us, which is a far shorter trip than the flight from California would have been the 4 years prior.
Happy Birthday, Josh!
I’m at work today and have plans of enjoying crock pot chili, a cupcake, and snuggles with my favorite girl when I get home. Derek bought me a deep freezer for my birthday ( you know you’re getting old when…), which I’m super excited about. Three cheers to extra freezer space! 🙂
I’m really enjoying my thirties and looking forward to another awesome year ahead!
Happy Birthday Meghann!! …. and your brother too!
Happy Birthday! And I would love to hear the details on this freezer. I’m trying to convince my hubby that we need one and I would love one for my birthday. Yes, you know you’re old when is so true for me, too. I have taken over his precious freezer with all of the frozen milk that I have. I know that this phase won’t last forever, but let’s be real…extra freezer space isn’t a bad thing!
Happy birthday dear!!

Happy Birthday, Meghann! What’s your timeline on drinking a beer and breastfeeding? I’ve read 2 hours from finishing or when you feel like you can drive or that it doesn’t matter at all. What do you do?
You are going to LOVE having a freezer!!!

I LOVE my chest freezer. Maybe you and Derek can find some time to stock it with freezer meals (soup, chicken enchiladas, lasagna)… HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
