As this pregnancy comes to an end, I can honestly say without a doubt that I am happy to be done dressing this bump. Being pregnant during the summer had its perks (cooling off at the beach and swimming in my pool to name a couple), but the wardrobe selection was limiting. Let’s just say I’m a tad tired of tank tops that no longer cover the bump and flowy skirts that have worn out their welcome (if I never see a flowy skirt again, it will be too soon).
Peace out, summer! I can’t say I’m going to miss you (just yet).
However, I am a bit sad I won’t be able to transition to fall or winter weather with the bump. A change of seasons could be fun and a very welcomed change. In fact, when White Plum reached out to send some items for a review this month I purposely selected some fun fall gear just to mix it up a bit. I’m tired of dresses and shorts – bring on leggings and tunics!
The great thing about both of these pieces is I can continue to wear them once the baby arrives. I have another tunic from White Plum that I wore last fall/winter that is really loose (well, used to be) and extremely comfortable for days you just need something to lounge in. The chevron leggings are actually really light and stretchy. They’re one-size-fits all, so they’ll be a great transition piece as my body begins to readjust after birth.
Second: the Pinecrest Vest
I LOVE a good vest. Especially puffy vests with fun patterns that pair well with classic cotton tees and leggings (can you tell how excited I am for legging season?!). This vest is the perfect casual piece for the mild Florida winters. Now we just need the temps to start dropping so I can start wearing it!
