Guess who ran 10 miles this weekend?! This girl!
Hey, that’s my longest run since June. I’ll take it!
I’ve been slowly building my mileage back up since October and am thrilled to finally be back in double digits.
So why all the miles? In less than two weeks I’ll be toeing the starting line of the Walt Disney World Half Marathon on behalf of New Balance.
I’ve been slowly making my way through the RunDisney series (WDW Marathon, Princess Half, Disneyland Half, Wine & Dine, etc.) and am excited to add WDW Half to the list. Now I just need to find a way to get back to California for the Tinkerbell, Star Wars, and Avengers Halfs to complete the set. Everyone needs a goal, right?
Who else is running a RunDisney race in 2015?
I got my long run out of the way early on Saturday so I could spend the rest of the weekend hanging out with this guy!
How lucky am I to get to hang out with Owen twice in a one-week span?!
My sister and brother-in-law braved the 2.5 hr drive (Owen’s longest car trip to date!) to finally see our new house and show Owen around Tampa. It was really nice having them here – we used the new grill (a Christmas gift!), watched movies, played board games, and took Owen to the aquarium. Basically we were boring old grown-ups and I loved every minute of it.
By the way, 4.5 month olds love the aquarium. Owen was mesmerized by all the lights, colors, and moving shapes.
We said our good-byes this morning and Derek and I got started on our list of tasks to do during Christmas break. Both of our offices are closed this week, so we’re taking advantage by painting, hanging art, and taking measurements for new floors (!). Sleeping-in is on high on that list too. 😉
