Hellloooooo from paradise.
Derek and I arrived in the Dominican Republic late Tuesday afternoon and have basically done nothing but eat, sleep, and lay out by the beach since we’ve been here – we love it!
When we booked our honeymoon we wanted an all-inclusive resort because we wanted to stay somewhere where we wouldn’t have to worry about anything. Basically our plan for the next week is to soak up as much beach time as possible (with copious amounts of sunscreen, of course) and just enjoy our vacation. So far I’ve caught up on the back log of magazines I’ve accidentally been stock piling the last few months, started reading “Gone Girl,” and may even re-read the 50 Shades of Grey series – I’m on vacation, why not?
I’m also trying really hard to put the phone and computer away. I’ve had to lock my phone in the safe a couple of times just to stop myself from constantly checking it. Social media addict. Right here. I’m only putting this post up now because Derek is still sleeping and I’ve already been up for a couple of hours. After I hit publish the computer is going away and I’m getting back to my book.
Unfortunately the food here has only been so-so. Being a “bargain” all-inclusive, that was to be expected. Oh well. At least they’re heavy pourers on those drinks. 😉
I did have a chicken burger yesterday that was pretty tasty. It was topped with blue cheese crumbles, bacon, and onions and served with potato wedges.
They also make a really tasty cappuccino.
Lots of cinnamon and whipped cream – heaven.
Alright, time to get back to relaxing.
If you need me, I’ll be at the beach. 😉
