We’ve already had quite the productive day around here. Derek and I stayed through the weekend to knock out a few wedding errands while we’re in town and managed to cover a lot of ground before noon (the rule was we had to be done before the FSU/UF 3:30 kick-off 😉 ). This morning we already talked to the local bakery about cookies for our cookie bar (we’re doing cookie favors), saw the hotel and checked-in on our room block, priced out a few golf courses for golf the morning of the wedding, dropped my dress off for alterations, saw our venue all dressed up for another wedding (gorgeous!), and looked into shuttle services for the wedding day. We have more to do tomorrow, but I feel good with what we knocked out today.
Before all of the wedding stuff took over, I laced my running shoes up and took off for a run around the block. I wasn’t sure where I was going when I started, but I eventually covered 5 solid miles and felt good about it. My foot feels a lot better today and I didn’t have any problems with it during the run.
I loved being able to sleep in a little bit before the run. The weather has been amazing lately, I hope it stays like this through the rest of fall and through winter.
Fido decided to join me for a little photo shoot after the run.
Fido was not impressed.
No more photos please.
Dad made scrambled omelets (with mushrooms, onions, and ham), homemade biscuits and sausage for breakfast.
Since we’re ordering our cookies through a local bakery, we had to sample one while we were out just to make sure they were what we wanted.
Oh, yes. This thick and doughy cookie passed the test. I can’t wait to see all 200 cookies (of various flavors) lined up at the reception. They’re going to be a tasty treat!
Dad and I are dressed in our FSU/UF finest and ready for kick-off.
