O.M.G. I’m in Runner’s World!!!!!!
And… Runner’s World thinks I’m funny. Ha!
The mention comes from the December 2012 issue.
There’s a great article on page 77 about social media and running (do you think social media helps or hurts your running goals?) “The Running Twitterati” follows with a huge list of runners to follow on Twitter.
I’m listed under Foodies (Or Drinkies) column.
This was a fun surprise to come home to this evening. I am seriously honored to be featured among so many amazing tweeting runners. If you’re looking for some running twitter inspiration I would highly suggest following every name on that list – Runner’s World did an awesome job putting this one together (and not just because my name is on there either <– oh look, there’s that “dose of humor” 😉 ).
Looks like I have another thing to cross off of ye ole bucket list
Name mentioned in Runner’s World<– Check!
Alright, mini celebration over.
Maybe just one.
So where was I tonight? Oh yeah, I was working a demo with Attune Foods at the Whole Foods Market grand opening.
I am generally a very outgoing people person, so when Attune called and asked if I would be up to the challenge of passing out samples, I said heck yeah! I’ve worked with Attune on and off for the last three years (as an ambassador and with Healthy Living Summit) and have nothing but love and respect for the company and their products.
Since I was already very familiar with the products, the demo was fun and really easy. I think we passed out something like 1000 samples (the store was PACKED) and sold almost all of the inventory in stock – yes! Actually, if you’re in the Tampa area, Attune bars are BOGO now at Whole Foods until the 13th (a phrase I repeated many, many, times tonight).
Oh, and in case you’re unfamiliar with Attune bars, they are chocolate probiotic bars that have as much probiotics as 5 cups of yogurt. They’re also pretty tasty, I usually have them for dessert whenever I have them in the house. I couldn’t believe how many people were surprised how good they were they tried them. I mean, they’re chocolate, of course they’re good.
After being on my feet 4+ hours working the demo, I went the super-lazy route for dinner and grabbed soup and salad from the hot bar.
Seafood chowder + random salads.
And now I’m ready to crash.
