Totally blown away by all of the support and positive feedback on the Trojan Vibrations post. You guys seriously rock. Remind me to take more risks on the blog in the future. 😉
What do you guys think about the “Rafflecopter” for entering the giveaway? I’m trying to decide if I should make that a permanent thing or not. One of the downsides (or plus sides for this particular giveaway) is that not everyone can see all the answers to the giveaway question. Sometimes it’s fun to skim through the answers in the comments section to see what everyone else’s responses are. hmm…
Also, you guys are hilarious with your obvious excitement when entering the Trojan Vibrations giveaway.
Here are a few of my favorite answers to “Are you ready to win?”
Yes! My last vibrator died, time to replace!
Uhhhh, is that even a question? OF COURSE, I WANT TO WIN!!!!
Yup. Always ready
Yes! Yes! Yes! OHhhhh YES! Haha 😉
YES YES YES
I’d love to give this a whirl 😉 pun fully intended!
Yes Yes Yes. It’s been a while!
Damn straight I am.
Yes! Wink wink.
My wife is 😉
yes – oh baby yes yes!
The question is not am I ready to win a vibrator, but is the vibrator ready for ME to win it?
YES! It’s the only way I may have the guts to try it
Yes! New toys can’t be a bad thing.
Yes, yes I am. More ready than you know
YES!! (probably should cool it on the exclaimation points when entering this giveaway. oops)
HELL YES. I mean, yes.
And that’s just a little sampling. I was pleasantly surprised to see all the CAPS, exclamation points (!!), and funny anecdotes. Have I mentioned how much you guys rock yet?! Made my day. 🙂
Alright, back to the regular blog stuff.
Courtney invited me over for tea and scones before swim practice today.
How adorable is her set-up? Suddenly I want my own cute little tea set.
The blueberry scones and clotted cream were homemade and made fresh today. I had two.
The tea was a fragrant wild flower and fruit blend that smelled and tasted amazing. I should have written down the name of the tea she used, I know it was two separate blends from Teavana that she combined and made something fabulous with.
Swim practice tonight was nothin’ but drills. However, I was not complaining. Something actually clicked with me tonight and I felt like I was having a good practice – it was a welcomed change. A practice of nothing but drills may sound tedious, but I think the drills really do help. Slowly, but surely, my form is improving and I’m feeling stronger in the water. Drills rules!
Practice got out late (after 8:00!), luckily Derek and I are finally starting to figure out this whole late-practice dinner situation. The trick is to know what we’re having ahead of time (tonight it was pizza), keeping it simple, and giving Derek some prep advice before heading to practice. Then I call him after practice is over (it’s a 20 minute drive from the pool to my house) and tell him to start start the prep work (cut the tails off the shrimp, preheat the oven, roll the dough out, etc). That way, when I walk in the door, we finish the meal together.
Beautiful, no?Publix pizza dough, sun-dired tomato pesto, spinach, shrimp, and goat cheese.
It was still a late meal (we after after 9:00), but it was semi-homemade, semi-healthy, and pretty damn tasty.
I’ve got a snoring fiance and a snoring pups on either side of me – time for bed.
