THEY’RE MARRIED!!!!!!!!

Anthony and Kelly are married!!!!!
It was a beautiful ceremony, for which I’m still choked up over (not going to lie, I busted out in ugly tears up there). My sister made a gorgeous bride, Anthony made a handsome groom, and the love they share for each other just radiated through both of them the whole weekend.
I have a lot to share, but think I need to start at the beginning… with the rehearsal.

Kelly and Anthony’s ceremony and reception both took place at Spruce Creek Country Club in Port Orange, FL. If you’re looking for a wedding venue in the Daytona Beach area (Port Orange is just south of Daytona), my family can not recommend it enough. The staff was amazing, the food was great, and the venue itself was stunning. Two thumbs up!
The gang all met at Spruce Creek at 6:00pm on the dot for a run through of the next day’s events.

Kelly had originally planned for an outdoor ceremony, but with the threat of a 60% chance for rain the next day, we decided to run through two separate scenarios just incase the outdoor ceremony didn’t work out. For “Plan B” they temporarily transformed the reception site into a back-up ceremony site.

We started the rehearsal running through the back-up plan – just in case – and all crossed our fingers we would never have to execute this one.

The boys lined up first.

Then the girls.

And the beautiful bride came last.

We mainly worked on where to stand and went through a couple of key moments in the ceremony, so everyone knew what to do and when.

And then we practiced the same thing outside.

This was the scenario we all made sure to make extra mental notes for. It was NOT going to rain in our minds – only dry happy thoughts!

Bridesmaids

Groomsmen

The future Mr. and Mrs.!

After we had our parts down, everyone loaded up and headed to Malibu Beach Grill for the rehearsal dinner.

I’d never ate at a Malibu Beach Grill before. The restaurant reminded me of a Bonefish – it had that same upscale vibe with California flair. Everything was really fresh and delicious, it was a great choice for a rehearsal dinner.

I started with the Malibu Salad.

And selected the Malibu Chicken (grilled chicken breast with spinach, artichoke, and goat cheese in a lemon butter sauce) from the pre-fixe menu.

We drank (I had a red wine), ate, and mingled, then Kelly and Anthony gave a little speech thanking everyone for their help with the wedding.

They had gifts for the parents.

And gifts for the groomsmen.

But Kelly had misplaced the gifts for the bridesmaids. No worries – she found them the next morning.
After dinner the girls all headed back to the hotel and had one last sleep over before Kelly became a Mrs.!
I’ll be back later with Part II!!
