Once again, Pinterest delivered on an amazing find for dinner this evening…
Chick-fil-A Bites with Honey Mustard Dipping Sauce by Kristin of Iowa Girl Eats

I followed the recipe for the bites and the honey mustard dipping sauce to a T. And you know what? Kristin is a genius!
Her secret to copycat Chick-Fil-A bites? Pickle juice! Who would have thought? Of course, as soon as I read that ingredient it made perfect sense. They do kinda have a pickle-y aftertaste that just works.

If you love Chick-Fil-A I would highly suggest checking this recipe out. Trust me, it’s a winner.
I didn’t have waffle fries on hand, but I did have sweet potato fries. They did the job.

And a side of veggies to get my veggie quota in for the plate.

Backing up to earlier in the day… I snacked on some peanut butter crackers and almonds while working at Starbucks this afternoon

And got some quality time in with the birthday girl as we took an extra long walk around a local park together.

She also got chicken on her dinner bowl as a special birthday treat. I would have loved to have made her a birthday cake, but Maddie isn’t a fan of doggie cakes or specialty cookies. She isn’t really a fan of milk bones or most things cookie-like, really. She prefers meat. Or yogurt. Or cheese. That’s it.
For dessert I had two Tag-Along cookies and two strawberries.

Guess who finished Mad Men on Netflix this evening?!? That’s right, I watched all 4 seasons of Mad Men in less than a month. That’s 52 episodes. Done. I’m hoping to find the first episodes of season 5 online so I’ll be totally caught up and can watch the new episodes as they come. I’m an addict.
