Today I went back to my roots and created a sandwich only this blog would be proud of.
A Grilled Almond Butter, Apple, Apple Butter, and Provolone Sandwich.
It. Was. Amazing.
I’m pretty sure I’ve had this combo before, but there was something about this particular sandwich that took it over the top. Maybe it was the extra thick slice of provolone cheese? Or the addition of the apple butter? But, it was sweet, salty, and delicious.
Try almond butter with cheese. Trust me – it’s good!
On the side I had the additional Apple Slices
As well as a couple of pieces of broccoli for a touch of green.

Are you planning on attending this year’s Healthy Living Summit?!?!
Savory & sweet combos are one of my favorite, so I must try this sandwich out at least once!
Wish I could make HLS, but I’ll be getting ready for graduate school. Can’t wait to see the updates from all the bloggers who will be attending 🙂

I was hoping to do the HLS this year, but I already had plans for that weekend.
Plus… I was hoping it would be west coast. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for next year! Putting in my vote for Seattle 😉
That combo, as odd as it is looks really good. Still haven’t eaten lunch so I’m starving right now!

Aaaah so excited for you! I’ll be there in mind but not in body unfortunately, because I have the Can Fit Pro Toronto conference to attend on the same weekend. I have my fingers crossed tight that next year they won’t overlap!

My blog is proud of that sammy! 🙂
I’m really hoping to go to HLS this year! I actually have class from 5-9 but I am excusing myself from class at 7:55 to go into the hallway, log onto my laptop to try and get my ticket at 8pm! I’m so nervous though! Ahh!

Yup! I’ll be at the summit! First-timer! I cannot miss it because it’s in Philly and I live here! So excited. I have to attend a dinner function with my husband’s company tonight – but am already planning on “excusing myself” around 8:00 to buy my ticket 🙂

My favorite sandwich of all time is a PB (or any nut butter), raspberry jam, and cheddar cheese. Most people make a face and groan when I tell them this. I think it is delish! I will have to try the addition of an apple. Wonderful!

As for HLS, it always seems to fall the same time as a biz conference I attend 2x a year in Atlanta so I’ll miss it yet again. Can’t wait to hear and read all about it.
