My 2010 Race Book is Here!

by Meghann on March 2, 2011

Look what came in the mail today!

IMG_8503.JPG

In the process of packing and cleaning, I finally got around to making my 2010 Race Book!

IMG_8506.JPG

You can read all about the 2009 Race Book HERE. I made this year’s book through iPhoto on the Mac and taped all the bibs in place using double sided tape.

IMG_8508.JPG

Each page includes photos from the race plus stats.

IMG_8511.JPG

And the bib on the opposite side.

IMG_8512.JPG

There’s also a table of contents in the front listing every race of 2010.

IMG_8518.JPG

I love it!

IMG_8522.JPG

Lunch

IMG_8490.JPG

I know what you’re thinking “Meghann is so desperate not to waste food that she’s eating bagels with mold on it. ” Well, that’s only half true.

IMG_8500.JPG

No, that’s not mold – it’s blueberries.

Yes, I’m so desperate to not waste food that I’m eating a blueberry bagel with my bean burger patty.

No, it didn’t taste weird.

Yes, I would eat it again and not think anything of it. πŸ™‚

IMG_8498.JPG

I wanted a burger, but I had no bun. The blueberry bagel was all I had on hand and it seemed to work nicely. πŸ™‚

The burger was a Morning Star Black Bean Burger Patty with the last of my jar of pasta sauce and blue cheese.

IMG_8496.JPG

My sides were a little more on the traditional side.

Pickles

IMG_8494.JPG

and Pretzel Goldfish. πŸ™‚

IMG_8493.JPG

Yum. πŸ™‚

Cross your fingers! I’m on my way to try and win tickets at the ‘Wicked Lottery’ tonight!

I love the idea of a race book!! What a great way to store memories and organize the bibs so they aren’t laying all over your apartment (like mine are)!! πŸ™‚ And that is a really weird combo, I’m not sure I could handle that!!

Not to mention she typically places in her age group so I’m sure she’d love to look back at those races πŸ˜€ Thanks for the inspiration!!

35 Emily March 2, 2011 at 4:09 pm

Such a fun scrapbook idea! I’ve made scrapbook pages for individual races, but hadn’t thought to put together a race book for each year. I’ll have to give this a try with my race bibs and pics from last year, too.

And as for the blueberry bagel, hey…whatever works (especially if it still tastes good)! πŸ™‚

47 Meghann March 3, 2011 at 8:57 pm

I didn’t, it was an idea I came up with last November when I was trying to clean up my wall of bibs from 2009. I’m a race junkie that keeps everything, now I have somewhere to put it all! And great photos come with the blogger territory! I also have a post dedicated to each of those races with a detailed recap. πŸ™‚
