It’s my birthday! Today I am 26!
That means 10 years ago today I drove a car by myself for the first time (wink, wink. nudge, nudge) and 5 years ago today I had my first sip of alcohol (wink, wink. nudge, nudge). Or so that’s what the great state of Florida believes. 
Today marks no exciting milestones. Just another year of getting older and another year of getting wiser. My Mom reminded me yesterday that I’m only 4 years away from turning 30. I reminded her that she’s only 4 years from turning 50. I can play that game too.
My Sister came over this morning to go for a birthday run with me. We did a brisk 4 miler around my neighborhood. My Sister is a fast one, so it was a nice change of pace trying to keep up with her.
We kept the run short because we each only had one thing on our mind for after the run….
BIRTHDAY CAKE PANCAKES!!!
As soon as I saw this recipe for Cake Batter Pancakes pop up around the blog world the other week I knew I had to make a similar batch for my own birthday.
The recipe was super simple to follow. It’s basically your basic pancakes recipe with the addition of cake mix and sprinkles.
Admittedly it was some of the best takes pancake batter I’ve ever tasted. Holy Yum!
Blue Sprinkles make the world taste better.
Topped with a delicious sugary glaze and pieces of apple.
